V. Guimaraes is asking for insolvency due to us still not paying for Raphinha. It is known publically that we need 65M euros over the next 12 months, and 41M euros out of those 65 needs to be paid by June (fees to various clubs, agents, etc..). There has been rumours that we are set to get a 65M euro loan from a North American fund called Apollo, which would include anticipating future receipts from our TV deal with NOS to immediately get the money necessary to pay off immediate debts and fund the next 12 months.

Record says that Atletico is likely wanting to sell Gelson Martins to Monaco in the summer, and in the deal would be willing to fork over 20M euros to us to settle the case out of court. Part of me says to try and get more, but part of me also wonders if we should take the money and just move on. We're demanding 100M euros (his release clause) but I highly doubt that even if we win the case, we would get that much. It's more likely they would set the money value at what his market worth would have been at the time.

SCP officially announced a deal with North American investment fund Apollo (although the name wasn't mentioned) to allocate 65M euros into the club. Essentially its a loan where we are anticipating income from the TV deal with NOS, selling it as credit to this fund so that we can get the money immediately, and we pay them back with interest. For the short term, its good news, where we can pay off our immediate debts to agents, club (i.e. 4M to Guimaraes for Raphinha) and we don't run the risk of missing European competition next season. However under BdC we already anticipated over 200M euros from a TV deal worth 515M euros as a sort of all-in to try and win the title, and we just ended the first year of the deal this season. Now its another 65M euros gone, which means over half the money has been used.

Atletico plan to sell Gelson to Monaco in the summer (he is on loan there) and are willing to settle with us.
