    General thread for this year's Taça de Portugal.

    We've been drawn today against 3rd tier side Loures. A good opportunity for some rotation.

    Viviano was rumoured to get a chance to start in the cup match tomorrow vs. Loures, but Peseiro confirms he's not going to be called up.

    Was also asked about Wendel, he says that they believe in his potential but it's up to him to show it. After he was relegated to the U-23 team.

    Geez.

    30 minutes and other than a couple free kicks and a tame shot from Nani we've had nothing.

    Against Loures.

    From the 3rd division.

    Bruno misses a chance for 2-0 from the PK spot.

    Castaignos cant even buy a goal vs Loures. I would feel sorry for him but then I remember how much he makes...

    LOL 2-1. This team is a JOKE. Marcelo is an awful CB.

    Players and coach were booed off the field, with chants of "Joguem á bola, pelo amor á camisola".

    I'm not looking forward to Thursday's game vs. Arsenal.

    We get another 3rd division side in the next round - Lusitano de Vildemoinhos.

    I'm sure Peseiro will say its going to be a challenging game against a quality opponent.

    IDK we might see the infamous "trivot" of Petrovic, Gudelj, and Battaglia to park the bus.

    New coach Marcel Keizer called up 19 players for the match tomorrow vs. Lusitano de Vildemoinhos. When asked about the formation, he says they have been training the 4-3-3 and have the players to play this system.

    Coates, Jefferson, André Pinto, Lumor, Mathieu, Bruno Gaspar;

    Bruno Fernandes, Bruno César, Petrovic, Wendel, Gudelj;

    Nani, Carlos Mané, Diaby, Bas Dost, Jovane Cabral

    I do enjoy the odd game with a 9am time start for me..... A nice cup of coffee goes well with a SCP game. The 4-3-3 looking shaky as hell so far

    Games are coming thick and fast now. It's Rio Ave up next at home for the Taça de Portugal on Wednesday at 2:30 pm EST.

    Acuna and Miguel Luis hopefully start in place of Jefferson and Bruno Cesar respectively.

    At least we are winning already. 1-0

    GOLO!! 2-0 BAS DOST!

    Coates header from the corner hits the post and on the rebound Dost bags the easiest goal of his life.

    GOLO!! 3-0 Bruno Fernandes!!

    What a goal. The cross from Acuna looked like it missed the target, but Bruno took one touch to stop it and with his 2nd unleashed a fantastic volley. Fantastic performance so far!
