Things have quieted down since the elections, so it's back to what really matters - football. We face Maritimo tomorrow at home in the first game in the Varandas era. Nani and Dost are doubtful, so hopefully we can see Jovane start, as well as Diaby and Gudelj. Wendel I think deserves a shot at some game time in this tournament.
No Viviano even in the League Cup. Seems he's not gonna be here long... Mathieu, Nani, Dost, Misic and Lumor also out
Really lacking a focal point to attacks. Also Monteros' touch and ability to control the ball has been terrible.
I thought the chance had gone on Bruno's second goal, but he really got himself out of trouble and the finish was perfect. Bit more awareness from Raphina at time and he could have another goal easy.

We lost at home... to a 2nd division team. Yes Estoril was just relegated and they probably will come back because they play like a 1st division team, but that's still no excuse. Someone who didn't watch the game might say we were extremely unlucky, but the fact is not only did we play a poor game, at many points we were dominated by Estoril and if they had better players we would lose by more. Maybe we can start a crowdfunding page to get enough funds to pay the rest of Peseiro's contract and force him out. We have a trip to the Azores and a Santa Clara team who have been playing well and are just behind us. And then Arsenal in London. This should be interesting.
