Can't sell groups on short notice. That's part of it. Anything with a short sales window tends to be a drag on the "big game" impetus.
They started announcing larger numbers later in the year and they also said there was a fire marshall limit they had to adhere to, but even 3,856 is less than the hockey capacity, so I don't know what they're doing. I've heard they have sold over 4,000 tickets to games, but you can always see hundreds of empty seats (yesterday was legit packed though).
Part of the reason for the empty seats is the Beer Garden. You can't just buy a ticket for the Beer Garden. You have to buy a ticket for a seat in the stands and then buy a ticket into the Beer Garden behind the penalty boxes. So a lot of the empty seats are the people who spend the entire game behind the penalty box.
Disappointed again in San Diego's attendance last night. Oh, the good old days of 1984. Good, closely matched and tense game last night though. Bad finish for us San Diego fans. See ya next year.
Sunday, May 5, 2019 Monterrey @ Milwaukee - 7,901 Congratulations to the Milwaukee Wave, 2018-2019 MASL Champions.
I'd like to thank you for doing this Scooge. I know trying to find info from some teams is harder than trying to find the Holy Grail.
