    Pretty awful positioning from the CBs on that Aubameyang chance. I wish they weren't so prone to mistakes because when theyre on theyre pretty solid

    0-0 final.

    Arsenal should be qualified even with the draw. We should qualify in the next match.

    Truly awful game, but with a youngster getting his debut and us not having a manager it’s a very good result

    Keizer called up 4 U-20 players for the trip to Qarabag. A draw should be enough to go through, assuming Vorksla don't beat Arsenal.

    GK: Renan Ribeiro, Romain Salin, Diego Sousa;

    Defenders: Bruno Gaspar, Thierry Correia, Tiago Djaló, Sebastián Coates, André Pinto e Jefferson;

    Midfielders: Petrovic, Miguel Luís, Gudelj, Wendel, Bruno Fernandes, Nani, Carlos Mané;

    Forwards: Bas Dost, Diaby, Jovane Cabral

    Starting XI

    Renan;
    Bruno Gaspar, Coates, André Pinto, Jefferson;
    Gudelj, Wendel, Bruno Fernandes;
    Nani, Diaby, Bas Dost

    Pretty much same XI except for Mathieu. Finally we have a coach that is giving Wendel a chance. He seems to be playing further up the pitch with Bruno Fernandes deeper in the midfield 3.

    GOLO!

    Bas Dost converts the penalty after being fouled in the box.

    Edit: That didn't last long. 1-1...

    GOLO! Bruno Fernandes!

    Already noticing some improvements in our pressing and offense, with quick passes and touches. Defense still suspect on counters but its a work in progress.

    I can’t watch the game. What role is Wendel playing? Looks more up the field in the lineup and has 3 assists. More playmaker instead of defensive?

    Yes exactly right. Also the team is pressing really well, but Wendel is again one of thr best on the pitch. Still issues with defending but really positive signs. Rio Ave will be a tough test though.

    Interesting. I thought he may have been a lost cause but maybe we just weren’t using him properly.

    Final match of the group stage, meaningless game but hopefully another win. Good to see Ristovski back from injury.

    Starting XI:

    Salin;
    Ristovski, Coates, André Pinto, Acuña;
    Petrovic, Bruno Fernandes, Miguel Luís;
    Carlos Mané, Jovane, Montero.

    GOLO! Montero makes it 1-0. Brilliant backheel from Bruno Fernandes.

    GOLO! 2-0 and Miguel Luis gets his debut goal for us. Great team goal with Bruno Fernandes again orchestrating everything.

    GOLO! 3-0 Montero with a brace just before halftime! The team hasn't had to try too hard to start building a rout. Would love to see Thierry Correia and Bruno Paz get a run out.

    What ever happened to Daniel Braganca? I thought for sure he would get some love from the new coach.

    Good question, maybe he's injured.

    Hope to see Bruno Paz, cant be worse than Petrovic.

    Montero looks like he picked up a nasty injury. Pedro Marques coming on for his debut up front

    Quite a bit of hype around him a few years ago. Seems to have died off recently, but excited to see what he can do up front.

    Thierry Correia comes on for Ristovski. Another young player coming on.

    Refreshing to see a coach gives these guys some real minutes. If it was JJ he'd be throwing them on in stoppage time.

    Also its amazing that we were losing at the 90th minute with this team, only coming back in stoppage time to win.

    This team makes Qarabag look like Barcelona.
