Your damn Tigers are playing McTominay out of position on his loan and I'm not happy about it. I think I'm going to recall him during the winter window.
Less than 48 hours left to join and be made to feel inferior my my expansive knowledge of undervalued mid-table calcio starlets that will inevitably be bought by English teams and ruined! Get on it you cowards!!!
Roma has been linked with Berardi for close to 30 months now. I'm so glad they haven't bought him. He fell off a cliff last year. One of the most disappointing individual seasons in Serie A last campaign. Even at the depressed value he had after last season, I'm not sure he's worth the investment. I'm just not a fan at all.
Cross posting from my very exclusive and highly appreciated Facebook account: I've received countless calls and messages this week, "Seds, when are you posting your Serie A season predictions!??!" I always responed, "Mio amico, the mercato is still open! Patience!" But with the mercato closing today, and the greatest league in the world starting tomorrow, it's time to give the people what they want. Behold, my completely unbiased expert Serie A 2018-2019 predictions: Serie A 18.19 1. Juventus/FIGC 2. Roma 3. Napoli 4. AC Milan 5. Internazionale 6. Lazio 7. Atalanta 8. Sampdoria 9. Torino 10. Fiorentina 11. Bologna 12. Cagliari 13. Parma 14. Udinesse 15. Sassuolo 16. Genoa 17. Empoli 18. Spal 19. Chievo 20. Frisione Bonus predictions: Ronaldo - 20-25 Serie A goals Capocannoniere - Icardi/Higuain share Coppa Italia - Roma
I realize they're a small and relatively insignificant club for a big city fella like yourself, but please spell their name correctly.
Jeez. That's bad. That must have been a weird auto correct or me not paying attention. It wasn't on purpose. I would have much rather misspelled Lazio.
Don't know if I ever mentioned this to you, but when the Crew played away at Montreal on my birthday in 2015, we went to that match, and ate at a lovely Italian restaurant for dinner that night, where our server was from Frosinone, and was beside himself that his little hometown club would soon be in Serie A for the first time in their history.
You blew your wad 90 minutes early!!!! Come on Kyle!!!! True calcio aficionados know that the game is never over in the 3rd minute. That Juve will sleepwalk and look like a draw or a loss before a late and sometimes controversial winner. Patience, grasshopper.
The cherries reached their highest "live" position ever, and one they will only ever equal. By end of day they sat 3rd in the prem. Not bad for a team on -17 in league two 10 years ago - how close they came to going out of business, now one of the richest teams in the world.
In the German Cup this weekend, Frankfurt, the defending champion *lost* to an amateur 4th division team, Ulm (who were once in the Bundesliga). Bayern only won 1-0 vs a fourth division team (via a late Lewandowski goal). Stuttgart lost to a third division team, Hansa Rostock (once the team of Paul Caliguri). Fun stuff..... 4 more games tomorrow (Monday).
Initial reactions to Serie A's opening weekend: ESPN/ESPN+ - There were a few hiccups with ESPN on the animation leading into replays, but that's about all their is to complain about. The presentation, the production. All of it is wonderful. They had an hour long highlight show up for the round Sunday night. I'm beyond thrilled to see my favorite league shown in this way. Over the moon. Juvemerda - ******** Juventus. Ronaldo unlucky not to score on his debut. Typical infuriating Juventus win. Roma - Roma made things difficult like they always do. But Dzeko had probably the goal of the weekend in Europe. Kluivert and Cristante changed the game when they came on. Olsen overcame some shaky moments and kept the game scoreless when Torino threatened. Monchi's mercato looking a bit better than some gave it credit for. Lazio/Napoli - Good to see Milik on the scoresheet after his battles with injuries the past 2 years. Great win for Napoli, on the road against Lazio. Some have tipped Napoli to be the team that drops out of the top 4. I just can't see it. There is still goals galore in this team. As long as they aren't forced to start Mario Rui too often they defense will hold up and they'll be fine. Internazionale - Man was that fun to watch. Inter twitter was getting a bit too boastful after the mercato. To lose the opener in that fashion, to Sassuolo is absolute joy. Even better Eusebio Di Francesco's son, Federico, won the penalty that Berardi converted. I'll never tire of seeing Spalletti's god awful overly exaggerated negative body language when things are not going well for his team (as long as his team isn't Roma again). Rest of the table - Torino is gonna cause some problems this season, possibly challenge for Europa. Parma pissed away 2 points in ridiculous fashion. SPAL and Empoli both may still go down but great opening weekend wins. Pippo Inzaghi is still not a good coach. Excited to see Fiorentina, Milan, and the two Genoa team finally open the season this weekend. EDIT: I almost forgot about Atalanta. My word what a team. Yes, it was only Frosinone. Still, Gasperini is one of the best coaches on the continent and what he has built at Atalanta is remarkable. I'm a bit terrified for Roma to play them on Monday. CALCIO CALCIO CALCIO!!!!
