Keeping Weidenfeller is not a problem, in fact I think it is a nice touch. Keeping Weidenfeller as 2nd choice is a huge, huge, huge problem. Weidenfeller by all accounts seems to be a good professional and is good to keep around. As long as a 2nd choice keeper is brought in.

Signing a backup keeper should not be so hard, but that's only thing the club needs this summer. Maybe a world class centre back if one becomes available, but that is very unlikely. After that it is all about getting rid of some players and trimming the wage bill.

The next big thing the club needs to do is go on a unprecedented media charm offensive.

I use those articles, because it shows that Barcelona were viewed as a bit of a joke. They weren't as viewed as badly as we view AC Milan now, but they were not viewed as an elite club.

Laporta ran his election campaign promising to in effect Make Barcelona Great Again.
    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2003-06-16/laporta-becomes-barca-president---now-for-beckham/1871010
    He did.

Dortmund primarily need success on the pitch and ultimately in the CL, but they have the perfect group of players to win over a generation of youngsters.

    Pulisic-the "USA's best ever player"
Children everywhere will want to be the new Dembele.
Reus-"the most loyal man in football"
Gotze- "the redemption of the prodigal son"
Auba - "the fastest footballer in the world" "the best striker in the world"

Get to a CL final and the marketing potential of these players is through the roof. Push these stories as much as possible. Have old legends comment on them. Get the old legends to speak about these guys build them up.

Really excited about next season now that Dahoud is one of us, though I doubt we'll win the Bundesliga. The reason? Ömer F ucking Toprak.

As long as Toprak spends the next season playing the Rode-role i.e. doing fückall, we should be challenging for the title.

I think this squad will be well stacked by the summer.

Don't be so sure of it. Tuchel pushed very hard for Toprak and I suspect he will play him as much as possible.

about dahoud,he betrays BMG for us is a bit relieving,he can get better paycheck in EPL teams but prefer BVB. that's good, means he prefer a team that offer the chance for him to plays regularly and grants him CL experience, which make him wise enough to choose his options...........or he just prefer to stay in germany at the moment and will jump when the time is right, pardon my skepticality.

about BMG don't sell xhaka and dahoud back then,it's kinda like BVB in 13-14. we has the chance to sell both gotze and lewy, but choose only gotze to sell. it's because we want to erase "seller club" tag on us,that we rather maintain or pride to not to sell all snakes in us rather to do move which more profitable for us. yes, lewy gone for free, but at least we can make sure only one star player left each season. (we also intend to keep mikhi for this season, don't care if he'll go for free, until MU's offer become too sweet to be rejected). does that means bundesliga teams can be too prideful for their own sake? maybe, but it's not a bad idea to holds a code to adhere to.

What a coup that is. Glad it is over and Dahoul will be joining us. That list with Dortmund's future looks great!

Well for starters they need to get paid market level salaries. That's Watzke's job and I'm not sure if he's right for it.

And they need to spend time in Sweden. That's TTs job.

Back in the summer of 2010, JK took the whole squad to Sweden for a week for team bonding. Instead of some fancy chalet or hotel they camped in the forest, made their own fire, dealt with mosquitoes, caught their own fish. It helped the team bond and they won 3 titles in the next two years.

I'm picturing Auba pulling up in a gold Ferrari and blinged out tennis shoes trying to "camp". Where's the Playstation at!?
