Atlanta has a lot of speed and looks extremely dangerous on counters. Their defense is suspect, as shown in the RBNY match. Still, the June trip to Atlanta could be a tough match for the Rapids. Minnesota looks truly awful. Their back line is AWOL and their midfield looks like a rec team. The Rapids get the Loons twice in short order. That's probably just as well, because they may get their act together as the season progresses.
Omigod, the Rapids are totally going to rip these guys apart, they're a defensive sieve. I'm thinking maybe 3 shots on goal?
The joke du jour on the MLS Subreddit is that Colorado will go absolutely CRAZY on Minnesota and win 2-0.
Ligament MX season is in hold with a Referee strike for not punishing players severely enough for contact with ref in 2 incidents, hear there are other issues as well. One was a straight up head butt. Interesting how this will work out, 1 week has already been missed.
I thought it was just settled? The two players were suspended for a year. The head butt guy, Pablo Aguilar, is quite good, that suspension will sting. (America centerback from Paraguay.)
This was the article I read: http://www.espnfc.com/mexican-liga-...ilar-set-to-end-to-liga-mx-refs-strike-source
Has anybody heard any other speculation regarding the T&T qualifier and possible national team training camp before the Mexico game this June?
Most likely any 'breaking news' (TM CNN) will be here, sometimes with actual analysis poured over, but more often with lots of low information opinions stated as facts. ;>) http://forums.bigsoccer.com/forums/usa-men-news-analysis.180/
Enter at your own risk, there is little if any reasonable thinking just "you all are stupid, I'm a genius and identified his talent first".
Jason, isn't Queen of the South your team (other than the Rapids)? https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ball-learn-10-year-old-son-queen-of-the-south
Yep, been following them for almost 20 years. Thanks for the link! I'm posting this from the train back to Manchester after seeing Blackburn at Ewood Park. Great day despite giving up the equalizer in the last minute of stoppage time and the only other negative was the traffic jam that caused me to walk the 1.3 miles back to the station in the drizzle instead of taking the bus.
Yeah, we learn to take the bus! . No, it wouldn't have been bad had I had my nicer rain jacket with me but it got left in Colorado for space reasons.
Chicago v. Atlanta Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Quite the first half in this one: an early own goal by Chicago and a shaky DOGSO, Atlanta up a goal and a man at the half.
Vancouver v. Toronto Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Neither team looks sharp so far this season. Toronto is having problems in goal. Irwin got caught in no-man's land against Philadelphia last week, and Bono is in goal today. Bono nearly pinged a goal kick of Montero into Toronto's goal in the first half. Jozy Altidore put on some tonnage in the offseason, and is a couple steps slower. Vancouver has its problems. Brek Shea continues to be the enigma he always has been, lots of technical skills, but also not having his brain engaged in the match for long stretches. Be sure to watch the 10 minute aftermath of Shea's juvenile antics. Ismail Elfath has also had an awkward match. He made no-calls on two possible PKs, one each way. (He was consistent on the calls.)
I know it is piling on but drizzle is technically not precipitation in the UK and Ireland - liquid sunshine is an 'alternate fact' term for it. Also rep to fortcollins for using the spoiler function ... twice.
What you all are forgetting is that Washington people are wimps. An Oregonian would have not even noticed a little liquid sunshine. rod.
