Interesting Rumor, Goff wrote article that 2026 WC could go to Morocco over the Joint USA/ Mexico/ Canada one. I would link but I think Wash Post charges now Here's his twitter link to it 2026 World Cup is no certainty for North American bid https://t.co/jw2KvfIClw— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) December 17, 2017
Nashville Announced, no word on who else got in. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/12/20/nashville-awarded-mls-expansion-club
FS2 on Comcast 1209 I just noticed last night that a standard version of FS2 was just added Denver area... Not sure why it isn't HD. so disappointed but at least they added it. I switched from Directv recently due to cost and finally have the same channels. The streaming service is head and shoulders above Directv One thing to note... If you get Bein in the sports add on, they give you both and the Spanish bein sports can be viewed in English by setting your language preferences. Comcast has been a significant upgrade for me from Directv
True. I didn't watch those that much but did on occasion. Maybe the will add them in 2018 after their negotiations I do absolutely love the cloud based DVR I had nothing but issues with Directv and after their merger with atAT&T it just got worse for me. I have t-mobile and absolutely love it.
There is a gofundme.com campaign that is trending regarding Drew Beckie, a Colorado native and former DU student who played for the Columbus Crew and a variety of minor league teams. I don't have any personal knowledge of the family or Drew's medical situation, but I hope it isn't inappropriate for me to post a link here.
A new ~8,000 person soccer stadium in Colorado Springs is still possible: Colorado Springs City Council doesn't rule out sports and event center in Antlers Park http://gazette.com/article/1618651?TC_SC_REF

I reached my breaking point tonight on all the USSF President nonsense going on over social media: http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2018/01/the-ussf-election-can-we-talk.html
Classy Cosmos. I have been avoiding the muck by staying in my BigSoccer bubble. The opinions here have a slightly quality to them. I can't take the cesspool outside of this.
How sad is it that BigSoccer is the place for slight quality. Yet I agree 100% with this perspective....
Funny thing is it was a non paying position (Sunil's FIFA positions resulting from this did pay) and what little actual "power" it had was going to go away to the managing director from what I saw a while ago. Then like you got tired of all the crap going on and keep my fingers crosses they get what they deserve and Hope is elected.
Some things are predictable every year. Swallows return to Capistrano. Mosquitoes feed on us. Ants like picnics. It snows in winter. And (grrrrr at the Cosmos this year) the pro/rel discussion returns to kill time during the offseason. Oy vey. The MLS already has a truly American version of pro/rel. Successful minor league cities hit the expansion list, and keep their minor league names . . . Vancouver Whitecaps, Orlando City SC, Minnesota United FC to name a few. Unsuccessful major league teams get contracted, relegated to Chapter 7 . . . Miami Fusion, Tampa Bay Mutiny, Chivas USA, so far. Basically, if you are a decent grom and prove yourself, you get invited to hang out with the pros, and if you are a loser, you get relegated permanently.
It still means something when we play Mexico. Missing the 2018 WC is a huge kick in the groin and a massive failure by the USMNT. But it doesn't mean we can't poke Mexico in the eye whenever possible. rod.
I was going to point out that the Country Landon's 'new' league is in will be playing in Russia -- but I thought "too soon".
