For this Wednesday's match, there are less than 1000 original sale tickets available on Ticketmaster, according to the calculations I did using their section-by-section view. Hoping that's not counting standing room only tickets.
8,228,000 is what we need to get to a 22,000 average this year. WeekTotalAverage #28....313,7501,706,007-313,750=1,392,257/59=23,598 to average 22,000
Looking forward, upon expansion to 28 teams, MLS will likely draw well over 9 million fans per year. That would be the 4th highest total in the world behind only the Bundesliga, Premier League, and La Liga.

Still fuming from that gut-wrenching loss last night, but the crowd was great, as usual. Meanwhile, it looks like ATL will match or exceed the 70,425 they drew vs. Orlando for the final home game vs. Toronto. "Regular" tickets are sold-out with 2 1/2 weeks to go.

271,602 to get to the 22,000 average. Atlanta 70k+ DC 40k+ Seattle 40k+ That's 150k+ in just three of the games. 121,602/8 = 15,200 Looking good to average 22k+ this year. 22,500 next year........
Excellent news. This is how I see this weekend playing out. Dallas: 16000 DC United: 43000 Philly: 18000 Houston: 20000 RSL: 20000 SJ: 18000 Montreal: 20801 Portland: 21144 NYCFC: 25000 Seattle: 43000 Atlanta: 71500
I don't know if they can fit 71500 with the soccer configuration in MBS. It is listed as 71,000 for football. The soccer configuration is around 1,000 less due to the lower bowl corner sections being rolled back to allow the larger field. It all depends on how much standing room they are allowed to sell.
I believe Seattle will open up more of the stadium like they did last night (48,478), so I think they'll get in the 50,000-55,000 range.
I'm not sure. I was contacted at my work e-mail about group tickets for students for the Dallas game. They also contacted others at my college and were promoting the game heavily (students could buy tickets quite cheaply). I haven't seen any such push for the Colorado game - I'm not saying there isn't, it just hasn't been pushed where I am like the Dallas game was.
