No in 2015 he was borderline on earring his paycheck and he is clearly underperforming last year and this one. Combine that with his age and we should have moved on unless he took a pay cut. I like players with a high work rate and Higuain can't do that for 34 games and with salary cap making depth hard to stack at that position. Means our sporting director is blinded by the coaches faith and or loyalty that is unwarranted! A good club knows when to move on from a big contract from a aging player.
Well, technically Kei is older than Pipa, so they did move on from an aging player that didn't live up to his contract last year...
I'm pretty sure Kei scored more goals for Columbus last year than Pipa scored. Had we kept Kei we would have made playoffs at the least the only thing that is burnt is anyone's brain who thinks Higuain is better than Kamara and that AP & GB made the right call
OK... MORATORIUM ON KEI KAMARA TALK. This is the 2017 Roster thread, and last time I checked, he's not on the roster. Let it go. If you think you can find a way to weave it into the Berhalter thread, I guess that's OK, but leave this thread alone.
Kei was a forward and Pipa is an AM - stop comparing them. Ola scored plenty of goals in place of Kei. We didn't make playoffs because we gave up to many goals (especially late in games) - period!
Anyone think we should re-sign Dominic Oduro to our 2017 roster? He has 1/3 of the Impact's goals this year. When does the window open?
C'mon, you know Kei plays younger than his age and Pipa older than his age. There are plenty of other comments to possibly criticize but Kei did not appear to be declining physically. Pipa did regardless of the age on their driver's licesne.
88 - @YamilAsad11 and Federico Higuain are tied for the @MLS lead for most passes ending in the final third with 88. Surgeons.— OptaJack⚽️ (@OptaJack) March 23, 2017 All hail the Surgeon of the Final Third! Long live Pipa!
Sweet jesus... can we just create a Kei thread somewhere on its own so this nonsense doesn't ruin multiple threads. Shit is beyond old.
When you look at Higuains Carrer in Columbus his goals scored in the run of play ( not many ) His pk % and fk% ( he actually use to be good at them) it's not impressive and he seems to get worse every year
