Only because some peoples' sarcasm detectors are faulty.

 

I count this as good news.

Berhalter said #CrewSC is in the process of finalizing a waiver for Duka. Said Dilly requested that.

Duka to the Cosmos. You heard it here first.

 

Cosmos seem to be having a bit of trouble this season. Maybe Miami or Cincinnati or Sacramento instead.

So is this move to make room for someone else, or just because of the whole practice board tweet thing?

 

Sounds like Duka was tired of not getting playing time. I think the practice stats or whatever and subsequent tweets showed he was probably pushing for his own release. I imagine they mutually agreed to it.

So let me get this straight. Duka was unemployed when he was picked up by the crew. Sure Montreal, or whoever, still had his rights, so he wasn't exactly a free agent. But it's not like teams were beating down the door for the rights to sign him.

It would appear that no one was interested in a trade. So Duka thinks he's going to go get PT where? Couldn't he just ask for a stint at Pittsburgh if he's planning on playing USL?

 

I'd be a little surprised if Duka makes a USL/NASL move. He thought he was too good for MLS before he came into the league. He wanted to go to Europe. Despite a fairly humbling career, he still apparently thinks he should be an MLS starter at the very least (heck, he probably still thinks he's better than MLS starters).

Another reminder that Dilly's last game with the Crew was at right back against a minor league team, during which he had 14 turnovers in 25 minutes.

 

Evidenced by his showing the practice scores on social media to prove hes good.

 

"Look everybody! I'm a little better than Connor Maloney and wayyy better than Justin Meram!"

 

I really feel like his future is ultimately with the Cosmos. Basically playing in a league that has a similar view of itself as Duka has of himself.

 

I'm a little upset by this move. My punching bag has disappeared.

 

Don't fret, Abu is still on the roster.

 

Mensah is ahead of Abu by a wide margin.

 

Neither are close. Abu just isn't very good. Mensah was offered a large contract and I don't blame him for signing. Duka is the worst player who thought he was a great player, never improved and still got signed again. Let's face it, Duka's only redeeming quality is his attractive sister. Mensah and Abu have had average to sub average games which put them on a much higher level than Duka.

 

Before you get too hasty what is their sister situation like?

 

Mensah is our worst CB regardless of pay and Abu is the 3rd best CDM. Abu is not good but he is a average cdm who started playing average recently because previously he was horrendous.

Duka was below average but in my opinion is better than Mensah who makes every mistake possible and has cost us more pts than any player.

Mensah has my vote for worst defender in MLS yet his salary is the opposite

 

I have no idea why you think he is this good. If soccer players were movie characters Duka is Jar-Jar.

 

And the Dilaver palaver continues.

 

Doesn't he have an Albanian passport? Seems like he could fit the level of play there.
