I looked over Hankinson's coaching career when Indy hired him, and my recollection is that he tended to do well in his first season, and less so thereafter. Maybe he doesn't wear well.
Maybe, but I don't think that is the cause for such a drop off. I think that comes down to injuries and age. We don't have as much depth as we did last year, so when you have a few injuries to starters it can have a major affect on performance. Combine that with older teams generally don't play with as much energy it is not a good combination.
Who is in charge of putting together the roster these days? That used to be Peter Wilt's job, ultimately, although it was clear that the coaches had input all along. Nowadays? It sure isn't Jeff Belskus. Injuries are a big part of the problem, sure. But we had injuries last year, too (among other things, Ubi has never been right since he arrived), and while we had some poor stretches in the fall, I don't recall anything this bad.
Well, at least fan support is still decent. But, I wish the staff would get their act together, because we had to endure two very sucky seasons, and I don't want to get back to dealing with that again.

Last 5 minutes aside, that was the best showing by the team all year. Maybe they can use that momentum on Saturday. It's also Dollar Night, so hot dogs, corn dogs, and other staple foods are only a buck each.

The spring season can't end soon enough. Edited to add: this is the benefit of the split season. Without it, the whole year would be a lost cause. As it is, some vague hope for respectability remains for the fall.
It's amazing to me that at this point in the year, if the Eleven won their remaining Spring Season games and Miami didn't win again, the Eleven still wouldn't surpass their current point total.
