Also helped set an attendance record for us. Rowdies beat Orlando City in USL debut before record crowd at Al Lang (Tampa Bay Times) Rowdies Knock Off Orlando City B 1-0 in USL Debut
When the schedule was announced I said I wanted a beatdown of the purple scrubs in front of a sellout crowd. At least I got half of what I wanted...but most importantly three points is three points. The league may have changed (more on that later), but the song remains the same. Once again we dominate the play, but we can never seem to turn that into good scoring chances. And for some reason, we seem to make every GK look like Tim Howard on his best day. That said, it was a good result, in front of a big crowd that sounded great. And love 'em or hate 'em (and what's to love?), I could hear the Orlando fans pretty well too. The push for MLS seems to have given the place a nice jolt of energy. If there's a down side to changing leagues, it's the level of the visiting teams. OCB was simply not as good as what I was used to seeing, although I admit it's a small sample. We should have hammered them by three or four goals. The only other down side is the stream on Youtube is not as good as it was on ESPN 3, although that may be my an issue with my computer. Next up: TFC 2 at home.

I think it looked even worse on thisTV, so the station might play a role, too. Kinda sucks, but it's still passable I guess.

Well that first half looked a lot like last year. Lot of possession leading to nothing but dangerous counters for the other team.
A little scary at the end there but it's a perfect home stand to start the season for the Rowdies! Much better second half as far as being more direct and getting counters of their own. Georgi had his third goal in as many games.

He's more straight ahead and actually gets crosses in, instead of always trying to outdribble and losing the ball.

Didn't look so hot on the road. Once again this team has trouble playing on surfaces that are well... subpar. Louisville's field looked kind of rough even outside of the clay patches. We spent a lot of time just focused on the ball and not really noticing where everyone else was. Then there were those unfortunate misses and post hits. Really should've gotten a result. Ugly game because Richmond chose to play anti-football but we did produce this gem to win it. ANOTHER ONE @tampabayrowdies make #1 on the @sportscenter #SCTop10 with this ✂️ kick goal by @strika09 https://t.co/bLy3tfUc7u pic.twitter.com/O5I9wUiC6n— USL Championship (@USLChampionship) April 30, 2017
