is there much buzz in Baltimore about the team or the championship series? Any buzz at all?

As an aside. For $247 you can be like the poster who thought the Blast took a bus to Mexico, followed by a fan bus, just choc-a-bloc full of fans.

(and I love how the Baltimore bus station is on Haines St.)

And if not the greatest, certainly the longest (which made his point even clearer).

And by my quick calculation that's 62 Hours and 20 minutes on the bus.
    One way!
    Where can I sign-up?

Ha, you are right. You would need to leave before Game 1 just to see Game 2.

But for only $247... you'd be a fool NOT to go.

Does that price include Made-to-Order passports on the bus?

Hype in Baltimore is slim to none about this game. The Baltimore Orioles are playing the NY Yankees on the same day. Kathy Griffin is also intown at the comedy club. If the Blast game manage to bring in 5,000 to 6,000 people I would be impressed.

I think it's going to be even worse in Sonora Mexico. They are going to play in one of the largest Catholic faith countries in the world on Palm Sunday. That is only going to hurt ticket sales.

I find this hard to believe. Mass for Palm Sunday will be attended on Saturday night and Sunday morning. With a 7 PM kick-off Sunday evening, I have no doubt there will be a large fan base in attendance. I predict 7,500+.

Maybe the rather awesomely named and descriptive "Centro de Usos Multiples" arena can lay on a Fish Taco or something.

Though the bus trip looks tempting, I think I'll stick with You Tube. As far as a buzz, I live outside of Charm City (Thank God) and have not heard anything. Though I do not watch the local news and rarely read the local paper, there could of been some mention there. But I believe the Blast is reaching out to there fan base, group sale fans and trying to promote the game like they done in the past. Last season they had over 6K for game 1 vs Sonora, which isn't bad. I'm surprised the Blast doesn't have any promos on their website for the game like groupon, coupons, game day giveaways, guest appearances, etc. But then again I very rarely see promos done by the Blast on their website. For example, I have seen the MKE Wave run promos on their website in the past like $15 tickets for playoff games. But the Blast have their way of doing things and I hope the game ends up well attended. I don't think Kathy Griffin will have an impact on the game. The Orioles home game will have a small impact probably with some fans and it will add more to traffic problems. Maybe that is why the game is at 805 instead of 730 or 7pm. I think Sonora will also have a big crowd and do not think Palm Sunday will play a role, in lower attendance, as the game will be played at night. Might actually help matters if people are off work on Monday. I'm looking forward to the series, may the best team win.

That structure of having announcements, events, a dinner, a press conference is exactly what other minor league sports do. Try to build uo to the "event"

Why, exactly, is there a week between? Here I thought game one was tonight. Were arenas not available?

There are times when I think the MASL Championship Series would fit right in and be an integral part of a 'Festival of Laughs'

Mass for Palm Sunday is traditionally done once in the morning and once in the evening on Sunday. I guess time will only tell.

The "Festival of Laughs " was a way to attract and try to cash in on the people who are in town for the weeklong Festival of lights throughout Baltimore.
