I thought that Elliott was very good against Tampa when he was playing next to Marquez. He was not nearly as good against Montreal playing next to Tribbett.
Remeber that quote from Curtin where we had 3 roster spots...about 6 signings ago? 835218059132547072 is not a valid tweet id
Still, even with season long loans isn't there a limit of the number of players we can sign? Or even though it's to BSFC does it count as a "true" loan where they come off the roster entirely?
Agree about BSFC. However, he stood out to me in person ( not just because of his height ).I wouldn't say I am excited about him but I'll be real curious how his career develops. He has great feet, I've seen him make some killer passes this offseason. He obviously needs to fill out physically. In addition to weight he needs more of a nasty streak. He plays pretty soft.
So I had a dream last night where the Union announced that Edu was leaving the club. I couldn't tell if he was retiring or if they were terminating his contract. What I do know is that Yaro unveiled an Edu statue, and Sugarman was in tears and couldn't finish reading the statement because he totally broke down crying (both funny, I know). The nexus has crept into my subconscious.
So apparently per Transfermarkt, Deshorn Brown (Jim Curtin favorite) was released from his Chinese team today. Would have to go through the allocation order to come back to MLS I think.
Union can now have 30 players on the roster (2 must be home growns - otherwise the maximum is 28 players. In addition, a team can have 1 extra player assuming he is on a season-long loan to its USL affiliate. So once the Union sign a 3rd GK (have Jake McGuire in camp now - he was drafted by Houston and was in the Dynamo camp but was not going to make the roster (was behing Tyler Deric, Joe Willis and Calle Brown). Guess he opted to try to make the Union's roster - not sure if he was offered a contract with Rio Grande Valley (Houston's USL affiliate) where ex-Union Dzenan Catic and Eric Bird play. If McGuire makes the Union, it sounds like Houston would just release him as opposed to try to get trade considerations from the Union. http://www.chron.com/sports/dynamo/...Joe-Willis-rehabbing-knee-injury-10966065.php
The announcers made it seem like he was there for "fitness" rather than "trial" but that's what the Union said about Gooch. . .
