Kudos to Miami....especially if those are all/mostly paying customers. A team in Miami drawing fans....that's new.
You continue to out-do yourself, #YEG. First official sell-out of the season for #FCEd! Thank you all for your continued support in 2017. pic.twitter.com/QOu0R6xjBq— FC Edmonton (@FCEdmontonNow) July 16, 2017
2,723 in San Francisco The best Deltas attendance since they played the Cosmos. No idea what accounts for the bump.

They had a big ticket giveaway. More info starting here: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/san-francisco-deltas-superthread.2030779/page-43#post-35672873
So the Deltas CEO with a letter to fans, some nice date about attendance and some wishful thinking. https://medium.com/sfdeltas/sf-delt...01e726bb6?mc_cid=c1315a3918&mc_eid=3f765138d5
Good number for the Cosmos. Going back to 2014 that number would be in the top five from any single season. Currently stands as their fourth best of this season. I kind of wonder if the MLS bids for Indy and Carolina have distracted the teams from a marketing stand point. I have noticed since the Indy bid is basically dead with no stadium deal, there has been a pick-up in marketing to where it was in previous years, and the attendance has subsequently followed suit going from 7.1k to 8.7k. Carolina's numbers though have been oddly consistent for a team that isn't selling out. They are almost always between 4k and 4.5k with only two games outside of that range.
3369 in San Francisco A Cosmos attendance bump (basically matching their previous Cosmos home game), but nowhere near what the Deltas need to survive.
If there was another giveaway, we'll surely hear about it. The Deltas are in a pretty difficult corner right now, however, and I do wonder if someday soon they won't resort to a big giveaway to try to pad perception. Because they sent out that challenge, and if they don't see some sort of substantial uptick putting them at least over 4000, then everyone is going to know they're a dead team walking.
They definitely gave out a huge number of tickets for this match. Not sure how many of the people at the game were using free tickets, but they dropped off a ton of free ticket vouchers at the Street Soccer event going on earlier in the day.
So even with their big ultimatum to fans, apparently a ton of ticket giveaways, and it being the fall season opener, they only managed to get 67 more people out to the Cosmos game than last season... Guess the Deltas only have 67 fans who have friends
