I also am quite concerned about how that ain't a red. Though the DisCo might have something to say about that.
I'd like to see other angles, because from that angle I don't share the concerns expressed above. Not every tackle off the ground with studs showing is automatically SFP. From what I see there, the tackle is below--not over--the ball. The leg is never locked so force is already mitigated. And the player immediately brings his studs and leg down the moment he realizes he won't win the ball. Finally, how much contact is there? Raising your leg when you go into a challenge isn't always a capital offense. And it's definitely not when the player corrects course and there is no damage to the opponent. Again, another angle could show me my reaction is wrong here. But from that angle, yellow seems fine. It's reckless. But there's no excessive force and I don't have the opponent's safety endangered from this look.
Thought Kevin Stott had a mediocre game yesterday Timbers vs Revolution. Several no-calls in the box for both sides, and a couple questionable card choices. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Could easily see here. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/PORvNE?src=hash">#PORvNE</a> <a href="https://t.co/SvHUWSVNjB">pic.twitter.com/SvHUWSVNjB</a></p>— Ben Jata (@Ben_Jata) <a href="Could easily see 🔴 here. #PORvNE pic.twitter.com/SvHUWSVNjB— Ben Jata (@Ben_Jata) April 3, 2017 ">April 3, 2017</a></blockquote>
