Lots of odd rumors coming out of Dallas regarding attempts to sign a keeper. First it appears they were after Memo Ochoa, but he declined: OCHOA se aferra a Europa. Its possible they're looking to cash in on Gonzalez before his contract expires.
I bet Gonzalez has plenty of interest in Liga MX. They could make a handsome 7 figure transfer fee similar to Zendejas. This should be a no brainer for a replaceable player.
Juan Quintero could be coming to the MLS. https://mlsmultiplex.com/2017/05/30/transfer-news-juan-quintero-mls/
The whole thing where Gonzalez declares his love for Mexico and then days later accepts a USMNT call up smells of a Guadalajara transfer gone bad. Chivas will not accept Mexican players who play for another NT.
Could it also be related to the GK situations at the National team leavel? How is the Mexican GK situation? I was under the impression that they had a pretty good and young one? With the USMNT, Howard and Guzman will probably be retiring after the 2018 WC and the next generation of GKs seem to have faltered recently. If Gonzalez wants to actually play for a National team and my understandings are correct, it seems like the USMNT would be a better option?
The impression I always got was that you just take whoever offers first. It's rare for a player like Saief to wait so long. I don't understand why he isn't rated by the Israeli NT.
Silly season starting up. So far I've seen: Valeri Qazaishvili to the Quakes (which seems reasonable). David Ospina to the Galaxy (which seems unreasonable) And now Atiba Hutchinson to Vancouver on a $5 million dollar transfer (which seems ludicrous) Also, sounds like DCU have signed Deshorn Brown from Tampa Bay and traded up to get Houston's spot in the order. 877229826045865984 is not a valid tweet id
Of over $500K (the minimum to be on the allocation order). Yeah, I don't understand how that happened either.
Hey, someone bought Juan Anangono for enough money to put him on the allocation list and he could only manage 4 goals in 28 games.
