This board is so funny. Some people think the checkboard is "icky" while others love it. Some hate that the Sounders kept their crest the same colors rather than change it to match the kit, while I love that. Makes it really pop. Can't please all of the people all of the time. Overall, though, I think a lot of the kits this year are excellent.
My football team blew a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl. #1up All around I think it was a pretty good yet for new kits. Vancouver is kinda silly and RSL is boring but nothing terrible that I can think of. A lot of solid mostly unique looks.
Agreed. Glad they're back to yellow as the primary color. Always thought it was a poor decisions to go away from that.
So.... If MNUTD plays at LA GALAXY, do the Galaxy have to wear blue? Because white vs grey can't be enough of a change, right? Sort of occurs to me that MNUTD doesn't really have a change kit in that sense... What other matchups does this affect?
KC likely wearing their secondary in those match ups (a few years ago in the USOC KC had to switch to training tops at half time because of how close the uniforms were.).
So are most of us. Toronto looks "ok". The big thing I don't understand is RSL. They look best when they had blue shorts. That would help them stand out more from, say, Toronto, Chicago, and Portland 2nd.
Chalk me up as blown away. There are two opposing team shirts I would happily buy: the new Columbus and the new Portland.
Same. I pick up random jerseys that I like when I see them cheap, even if it's a team/league I don't follow. This Columbus jersey is just nice.
I was hoping that the San Jose Earthquakes' new black primary uniform would look at least a bit less awful worn in play (debuting in today's preseason home game against Sacramento Republic FC) than it does everywhere else. It doesn't. -G
San Jose may have created a legendary kit - may go down in American soccer history as second only to the Colorado Caribou.
I think their current home kits are stellar. The away kits are not too shabby either. The name has always been one of my favorites, despite following the weird 90s trends of being abstract and singular rather than a plural, tangible thing. The crest though... That needs to go (actually, I'd like to see it incorporated into a proper crest somehow).
