I have voted win for every match so far this year. One of these days, I am going to get it right. Aren't I?
What was their road record against 2016 playoff teams, like 0-6-4 WLD? It was a month ago DCU with a healthy Acosta solved the Union early and often in the preseason.
Kinda want to travel to this one. It's time for a win, maybe this one is it. It's been a long time since we've seen a W, many of us have forgotten what it feels like. I think (hope) this is the one! C'mon the U!
I voted win. That said, I am exhausted from back to back nights of being up past one a.m. Clearly the fatigue is severely affecting my judgment.
Union @ DC and Everton @ LFC, outcome will likely be the same for both visiting teams. Another sad day.
Our first 3 points. DCU will underestimate us, like they always do, and make Curtin look like the genius that he is not. 3-1 to the Union!
I would say it all depends on if he plays Bedoya or not. If Bedoya plays (both tomorrow and against DC), then I don't think we win. But if we mix it up a little then it should be fine to take this one. I have not been impressed by DC this year.
2-2 tie. Classic Union game in which they'll have the 2-1 lead until they give up an equalizer in the last 5 minutes. There's a strong chance the Loons may steal this title from us. The Revs just beat them and they play RSL this week.
"Slumpbuster FC": Before the Union's last game @ D.C. (Tie on August 6th, 2016), they were at 21 points over 21 games (1 ppg). Afterwards, it looks like they picked up 22 points over the next 12 regular-season games (1.83 ppg).
Huh? That game vs. DC was 23rd of the 2016 season. Prior record = 30pts in 22 games (8-8-6) = 1.36ppg Later record = 11pts in 11 games (3-6-2) = 1 ppg
Whoops, unclear! Thanks for that -- DC improved in the next 11 games after playing us: we didn't / haven't.
Curtin said yesterday that Pontius broke his hand in the Orlando game but is available for selection on Saturday. Other than Edu and Yaro everyone else will be available. I wouldn't be surprised to see Herbers or Fafa start at LM with Ilsinho at RM and Pontius on the bench. My guess is that Simpson will start over Sapong.
Afraid that Washington will start to click on Saturday. Will be a difficult game for us. Fortunately Mullins is injured. 1-1
Not much action here with the game tomorrow. Did everyone rush over to the Happy Bizarro Reddit Universe once word got out here about its existence?
