I'm really excited for this one! I'll be sitting in the frigid cold at Talen Energy stadium today, but I can deal beacause.... I'm travelling to Orlando next weekend and the weather is supposed to be sunny all day! My sons are season ticket holders for the Lions, but remain Union fans first. We all will be sitting in their section decked out in UNION BLUE! I'm really looking forward to the scene pre-game on Church St. I hear it is what a gameday experience should be, especially without those Third Rail asshats!
Kreis will likely go with his patented narrow 4-4-2 diamond. So Gooch and Marquez will see two strikers, but without the added threat of Kaka down the middle to really disrupt things. I don't know a ton about OCSC's depth, but I'd assume Perez Garcia would take up that role? He's got some danger to him. Completely forgot that they dropped Julio Baptista in the off season. If Ilsinho is ready to go, I'd like to see him put up to whatever side they have Will Johnson posted up as a fullback on, because I just don't buy that experiment and would like to see it found out. If we lose, it's because we did something über-uniony and not so much because I think they're a better team than us. I'd be overjoyed with a win on the road. I got that one pegged for a Slumpbuster Special™.
Voted to tie because I'm slightly more optimistic after last game. Not so sure about 0-0-34, but I think 1-0-33 is a possibility. (Minnesota looks like balls)
Don't let Minnesota being terrible distract you from the fact that we lost to Toronto as they were on a 9 match losing streak to start off the 2012 season.
Minnesota has ruined me. Yesterday was the most polite MLS match I've ever attended. Although I've only been to rivalry games in the NE. A different sports animal.
I can't believe they are marketing mediocrity so blatantly. Get excited for the historical draw!!! 841314916883652610 is not a valid tweet id edit: Actually, I totally can believe it.
