I predict someone suffers a serious injury during the Demolition of the car, flying debris, errant hammer, something will require the medics....
Who schedules a match over dinner time, on Fathers Day, and during the end of the US Open? I am going but will be wearing one of my US Open shirts. I think no one will notice.
I've gambled and made CJ my fantasy team captain for the week. Hopefully he gets a hat trick. More likely is that Coach Local decides to play Simpson instead.
Hmmm. ESPN just went to commercials in the middle of the game Edit: ah, my mistake, I had to switch my espns
maybe if they started later, both teams could pass worth a squirt of piss. Wouldn't help Pontius to this point. He doesn't look like he could score at a Heidi Fleiss pool party.
Pontious has to bury one of those chances. That was a fairly even half. Hopefully the U can put a couple past Robles without conceding. Jones sent off for a reckless challenge. Looked like a yellow to me but Twellman assures the viewers that it was a red.
Nah it was a silly youth mistake by Jones. He needs to point his toe on that slide to keep the studs down. His reaction told me he knew he was wrong.
The only comment I could make is that this game, like this team......is a waste. Three Stars: *** Elliott-Saved 2 goals early in the second half. ** Picault- put in a shift and threatened at times with his speed. * (MotM)- Gaddis- defended well after a stupid conceding of an early corner, but more than that......pretty sure this was the best attacking/crossing/passing performance I've ever seen from him. Should acknowledge. If only I could have any faith this would be the game he could build on...........
Three game losing streak. Nogueira came back to remind us of that period when the Union briefly didn't suck. Brilliant troll job. Gaddis was the best player in the attack. I just wrote that. Oh, Union.
My first game this year at the stadium. My son and I were talking after the game and we simultaneously asked "was there a tactical plan in the first half?" Because there wasn't any. We discovered that a 11-man Union team that includes Ilsinho looks exactly the same as a 10-man Union team that doesn't include Ilsinho. I am going to disagree about Picault. Murillo easily kept up with his pace. Any time there was a loose ball on our left, the two would go on a footrace and Murillo usually won it. Fire both Curtain and Stewart. We had no tactical plan and we are loaded with defensive/holding midfielders And one more thing. Can we teach our guys how to weight a pass? 90% of our attempts were either too far or easily picked off by RBNY.
My daughters first game... she got really antsy seconds before the first Red Bull's goal so we left before I could see it, good kid sparing me some pain.
Ilsinho is not a #10. He is a soloist not a conductor. And they have Alberg behind him, the man with lowest workrate of any player I have ever seen wear a Union uniform. The only #10 on the team is playing (well) for Bethlehem and he needs to be starting with the Union while Ilsinho goes back to the bench and Alberg goes to the highest bidder (if Earnie can find one).
One loss away from tying the Union's longest league match losing streak. (they already hit it once this year already) 4 league losses straight: 2010 11-12 (6 games total including playoffs) 12-13 2015 2016 (if you include the playoff game) 2017
