ok so I watched him play: 1. He's really lively. 2. Even though he's 18, I thought he was physically more "mature" unlike some of our young players that tend to be more lanky or skinny. 3. He links up well with Jonathan. I think Suwon found a good forward line. 4. I think he should play as a CF. He almost scored another goal.
Kim Minjae interview: http://www.fourfourtwo.co.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=contents&wr_id=3691&sca=인터뷰 Wants to work on his build up. He is learning from his mistakes as a pro (giving away a penalty etc). His role model is Pepe. He likes to defend with his body and be aggressive/thug etc. He had an offer from a Japanese team but picked Jeonbuk instead. Wants to play in Asian Games. Wants to win the young player award. Wants to play in the World Cup. Not thinking about Europe right now and is focused on playing for Jeonbuk.
As far as I know this kind received praises already when he was at Metan high school. When he got promoted I had big hopes that he would replace KCH. It took some time but I guess this guy might be influential for Suwons development. Yes a little too early to guess but it's no question that he got a lot of talents.
I wouldn't say it took him a long time especially compared to many other teenage players that don't get as much of a chance as him. It took him about 4 to 5 months for him to adjust from going high school football to pro. I also think as players there isn't much comparison between Kwon Changhoon and Yoo Jooahn as Kwon Changhoon is more of a midfielder and Yoo Jooahn is more of a forward imo.
can't believe this hasn't been shared yet but Wesley with a BEAUT! typical Incheon comeback win against 2nd in the table. Win against Gwangju FC in a few hours will place them above relegation for the time being
