Up front wasnt terrible the middle of the field to use a hockey term , SEIVE! the back four, what back four? regroup and try to play more structured defense next week at Colorado.....
Our roster is a dumpster fire. Anything to be excited about other than Molino? It is quite a shame because I thought we had an excellent atmosphere for what the weather was. How many fans are going to stick around?
Actually liked our going forward, but Heath and Manny have a lot to answer for for that defense. Just awful. Any team that has speed is just just going to counter and torch that back four. One thing that pissed me off to no end, was all over the field, players were waiting for the pass to get to them, and Atlanta intercepted a ton. Kudos to them and their first win.
uh, Ramirez? This team needs to start believing in the Thibedeau system....if our season ends like the Wolves (it certainly is beginning like it) it wont be all bad, but until we start playing some defense, it s only going to get worse. And hey, how offsides do you need to be at the 2 minute mark to be flagged? yeesh, talk about a tempo setter..... no wonder he looked in disbelief in the second half when the refs flag did go up, he'd been getting the advantage on the call the whole first half (Martinez).
Speaking from an ATL point of view: there was a lot of good, short passes in your build up that troubled the ATL def. There was a period at the end of the first half where you dominated and were dangerous. We were generally worried - it was 3-1 at that point and if you'd scored that next goal, the game changes. Your build up looked good, the passing into the final third was tricky and solid. The defense is a shambles and Martinez scorched those two plodding center backs.
.@MNUFC home opener clocks in as coldest ever MLS game: https://t.co/AdrmglKzKf #MINvATL pic.twitter.com/h2NZGcKRXK— Major League Soccer (@MLS) March 13, 2017 I should have brought my water proof gloves, but otherwise, had the heat warmers and was fine. Seeing a lot of reaction that people did in fact have a good time. My only problem with the crowds was on that 5th or 6th goal, where fans started throwing snowballs on to the field. Unfortunately, this was coming from my section and the section next to us. Lot of people, myself included, were shouting "no" and "stop it." Then, to not really rectify the situation, some dude with a megaphone from the supporters section, came over and was yelling F Bombs at everyone. Still, from what I am seeing elsewhere, the travelling Atlanta fans had a good time. Haven't heard of any issues. Good luck to Atlanta for the rest of the season.

This week's goal: Give up 4 or less to Colorado. Given the state of their offense, that may be doable.
Once you lot sort out your back four you'll be a competitive side. There were large stretches of the game where you worked that ball very well.
Roster notes http://www.twincities.com/2017/03/15/uniteds-rasmus-schuller-called-up-to-finnish-national-team/
Anybody have any preferences of how the team lines up against Colorado? I think we need to end the 3 CM experiment of Schuller, Saeid, and Warner. Demidov needs to sit for awhile, and Ibarra has to play a role at some point with the money he is making. --------------Ramirez---------------- Ibarra------Venegas------Molino ----Schuller---------Warner------- Taylor---Calvo----Green------TH ------------Shuttleworth------------
I almost wouldn't mind putting Demidov further up field and having Warner sit. When will Josh Gatt be ready?
I have thought Warner has been pretty good. Then again it is hard to tell with this team who is doing well. I like to think they have Gatt in the shop getting robo legs, put Mecha Gatt out on the wings.
We are going to be losing at least four players starting Sunday due to international matches: Schuller, Molino, Calvo, and Venegas. Will definitely see some changes for the game against the Revs.
Impressed with Kalliman. Ibson was beasting off the bench. And yeah, not much of a stretch, but Davis got hosed on that red card.
Our lineup next week will definitely be interesting to see. Two weeks in a row we can hopefully steal a point?
