I thought they looked gassed at 30'. Still, get the bodies that need the minutes. I think everyone knew this was going to be a throwaway for us. SKC alos looks to be prioritizing this competition. If Feilhaber was in, that would have been their regular 11, no? (Rinse and repeat) Man, we need a lot of additions/upgrades.
Pretty pathetic game to watch. Even if it was the backups versus SKC's first team. Front office has their work cut out for them.
First few minutes with the high press we looked ok after that it was bad. We need a USL team to help feed us.

We did well to defend against them that first 30, but looking at the passing stats, I think there was one made pass into the final third.

Come on...you can belt it out! Just got back home. Another beautiful night. Bit of a roller coaster of a game. Getting a little more than ticked about AH's subbing practices. Pretty easy to see that when both teams went down to 10, that we created a bucket and CR was not very useful. He looked gassed by the 75th and should have been off by the 80'th. AND we have a game in threee days. Still taking three against Portland is nice. Kallman was beasting against Adi. Much better game for Molino and Ibarra.
Match? Game. Squad? Roster. The Americanization of futbol. LOL. Well played match especially by Kallman. Abu needs to learn not to retaliate. If he had remained calm I suspect that Blanco would have been red carded solely or yellow carded. I am glad that the Loons have picked up Nicholson who probably won't make such rookie mistakes. BTW Dead Fingers, you do a good job moderating this thread. Keep up the good work! Someday me and me mates from out state will make it to St. Paul for a match.
Just a little flick. Just a big goal. #MINvPOR #MNUFC pic.twitter.com/bmBclgywcC— Major League Soccer (@MLS) June 22, 2017

Was definitely not expecting us to beat Portland, but I will take it! Fun game to go to. Wasn't expecting the 18k crowd on a Wed night but that was pleasantly surprising. Also credit to the Timbers fan section.
Man, I didn't know whether I should be happy or depressed. We should have won that one. We were the best team hands down. But, those dumb mistakes keep killing us. Man, come July, we better see at least four new players. If you have not seen Adrian's post game, take a look. He was rather angry. Lighter note, got a couple extra tickets and brought the daughters. Eldest(9) and her soccer associationist to go on the pitch and take a photo at midfield. I was able to escort her, and it was fun to come out of the tunnel. My six year old was standing on the bench the entire night dancing to the chants, and waving her scarf for corner kicks.
Kevin Molino is playing on another level. Just a little more clinical at the key moments and he could be in the MVP conversation. As it is 5 goals/5 assists is pretty valuable. On track for a double/double season. He's just the sort of player I can see being scouted by European clubs. He's just entering his prime so if he's ever going to go it'll have to be soon. I think for MN to keep him over the next 3-4 years they'll have to make him a high 6 figure/low 7 figure DP.
We were the best team, no doubt, but credit where credit is due to the Flaming Hot Cheeto Vancouver had in goal. Ousted played a monster game from my view in 149. Attinella would have let in a bunch of those if we'd have been playing Portland...
VIVA made just a terrible, terrible, terrible mistake BUT he has certainly filled in nicely after the lose of Burch. Plus! moving Thiesson out to the left has been great to see. For the first time this year it has felt like both wingbacks have been able to provide tons of support in the attack. If that can continues it will provide our front four even more opportunities within & at the top of the box. It is only a matter of time before one of VIVA's beautiful crosses finds someone. Maybe I had one too many and was riding high off the come back but to me Kadrii actually appeared to provide a spark off the bench. Someone came in to the game and provided an offensive boost. Crazy bus!
Yeah, everything Kadrii touched in those few minutes was positive. That sub should have happened several minutes earlier because Johan Venegas was fading. Also agree about Thiesson on the left. Having the ability to cut inside adds another dimension. Kevin Venegas worked hard on the other side but too many of his crosses ended up in row Z. Need more quality there. Another player that stood out for me is Ibson. He really opens up the game with his creativity. If anything it's sometimes too much creativity where he takes risks in dangerous areas.
Wanted to smack Viva for that mistake. Though, it is good that he gets minutes. I probably would have had Davis in, and Thiesson at right. Heath sure loves to invert his players.
