I just had ribtips at a place in Elgin... And for some reason they gave me tortillas instead of white bread... And the ribtips were less than satisfactory- serves me right for not hitting my usual Elgin BBQ spot.
And I think he was selling chorizo as hot links ... Didn't get them but it looked that way . Maybe he was trying to create Southside fusion
For BBQ lately I have been going to s place called Steamboat in Wheaton. IT is a hole in the wall in a strip mall but has decent food. Smoked wings are my favorite.

Spent Thanksgiving at my brother's in Hyde Park. Great stuffing and brine that turned the bird a dark, forest green. If I were blind, I would have sworn that it was one of the best birds in my entire life. It still was. Lesson learned: don't judge by color.
