Yeah, cause evangelicals think Sharia Law should be imposed in the US. We got any offensive Amish on the squad?

Yeah...only economics experts can look at other places that have raised the min and see what has happened. To glance at the total economic collapse that resulted from it. Oh wait...no he doesnt and no it hasnt.

Does this mean that beer costs $11 at the stadium because the people ringing them up earn too much?

No, that's restricted supply and demand in a venue you can't leave and return to get food and drink and can't bring in outside food and drink for consumption. You think Papa Johns is gonna sell that many pizzas if they cost $25? Go look at some California cost of foodz

So wages don't have much to do with it. Kind of like if the minimum wage increases (above the 2007 rate) Buccees will be forced to put in kiosks for food orders.

You asked a stadium question dude, not about the normal world of restaurant establishments. Wages get too high and the chains will put in the robots instead of pay humans and benefit costs. Go educate yourself and read some McDonalds earning reports - whenever they try to raise prices on certain "value" items the sales drop off significantly.

Wages get too high when technology can get the job done for less. Like at Buccees right now. Minimum wage has been steady for 10 years and they have kiosks for ordering food. The conclusion that employees will be replaced by technology if we ever increase minimum wage again doesn't acknowledge that employees are being replaced by technology even if we don't increase minimum wage.

Minimum wage was about $2/hour when I started working. Is there any good reason that it has gone up since then? How can the unemployment rate be below 5% when the minimum wage is 3.5 times what it was back in the good old days? Then, why would you expect a ruined economy if minimum wage kept up with inflation over the last 10 years?

You didn't read the article I linked to. BTW, the unemployment stats are garbage - they don't count all those who have stopped looking for work and collect a gubment check

I did not read the article before responding. I have read it since then.

I don't think we should change the way we measure unemployment every time we change presidents. A standard measurement tells us something about how well the economy is functioning. Changing it to make a president or party look better or worse confuses the issue for political gain.

What's more Dynamo than this: the same player who trashes a sponsor is used in that sponsor's ticket giveaway contest!!!

I noticed he's in the photo but stonefaced. Perhaps it's make up with the sponsor time.

Already lived there, know what to expect. Not all is perfect, but at least the leadership knows how to spell and aren't white supremacist sympathizers.
