Bad news: We have absolutely sucked during the summer. Weigl, Reus, and Gurreiro are all out. Not that it matters but Schmelzer won't play either. The only good players we can look forward to are Dembele, Burki, Pulisic, Dahoud and Gotze. Hopefully Bartra and Sokratis can deliver as well. And LP needs to turn back to clock desperately. Good news: Bayern suck as well.

If Bayern shares that sentiment they can use that day on the training pitch. We will gladly take the win and head on towards the BL and CL.
I'm not sure preseason means anything. Bayern is a tough team still; their awful preseason only means they have something to prove. This isn't the same level as those three, but it's nice to have and I think both teams treat it competitively.
I think players/teams do take it more seriously than preseason, but probably less seriously than BL. But anyways, I think a victory over Bayern at the beginning of season can be VERY valuable psychologically. It'll allow us, and other teams be more confident going against them, which means more dropped points by them.
