I would like Joe-zee to score and Morris and Bradley and Gonzo and Zusi. All at once.

Villafana is a terrible defender, although good going forward.

Omar is a train wreck with the ball at his feet and it compromises our entire setup while we have a far superior CB in Miazga there who Arena's turned into the water boy.

Zusi is not a RB.

Nagbe is not a winger.

Morris as a 2nd striker? kills possession in the run of play.

Boy oh boy. Hope this works out but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see this go to PK's after 90.

If I were CR I'd high press our CB's and put a body on Bradley to mark him out.

 

Well you and Reuben Rivas or whatever can both
post about the match and never watch it.

Bruce is looking for best attacking side, not best defending side. He reckons we wont be doing much static defending but plenty of transitional defense. Hence the FB's.

 

We'll win this. It will be easier than the previous games. Costa Rica is all banged-up missing multiple players and they were entirely toothless in their quarterfinal; needed an opponent own goal to survive.

I feel sorry for Morris here but otherwise I have to say there is certainly a lot of purpose to what Arena is doing. I think he is really focused on the World Cup and I actually like that attitude.
