The result of trying to schedule doubleheaders on a weeknight, though you'd figure we could drop that for the semis this year.
Canadians putting on a passionate performance vs. Jamaica. the Univision guys are saying Zambrano is looking forward to the launch of the Canadian Premier league next year.
I think Canada probably had the better of the play, but they're pretty shaky in the back when Jamaica counters.
upon reflexion, mexico decides 3 Jesuses are one too many and subbed one off. they can always sub in a moses if things get bad.
Can i say, this was a great game to watch. Almost no gamesmanship or dramatic embellishment, color me extremely surprised. I'm on a anti-gamesmanship kick right now and need to applaud when teams, players, and refs keep it real. And as a result the game was free flowing and end to end... very enjoyable.
Jamaica beats Canada, despite being outshot and, frankly, outplayed for most of the game. Got to finish better though, so there's that. Sort of like when we lost to Jamaica in 2015. Not many Jamaican chances, but when you're the better team (which was the case in 2015, in Canada's case, they were playing better) you've got to capitalize on your chances when you get them. I don't think Mexico will have too much trouble, and is only upset if Blake has an amazing game, plus the Jamaicans score off of a Mexican mistake. Mexico scrapes a 1-0 win against Honduras. I think they look nice in possession, but often lack the final product. Though, tough to glean much from anyone who plays Honduras. They hack the crap out of everyone.
Andre Blake makes two great back-to-back saves - Mexico robbed of a goal. First save was made after a hard deflected shot. He was huge against Canada and huge again.
Jesus. Jamaica finally clears. Not sure what their defense is doing trying to pass out of the back in small areas.
Cubo Torres should be red carded and Mexico should be down to 10 men. EDIT: Horrible challenge with the studs straight into the achilles. Awful.
