The male one has 4 Costa Ricans, 3 Mexicans, and 1 each from USA, Honduras, Panama, and Haiti. The Women's Best XI had 9 Americans, Jessie Fleming who is Canadian, and Marta. Players on CONCACAF clubs were eligible regardless of their national team. Christine Sinclair was third in Women's Player of the Year, but Jessie Fleming was the Canadian on the Women's Best XI.
