How funny would it be if UCLA beat Maryland in this year's Final? Or replace UCLA with UVA, or perhaps even UCSB?

Saw this chart on twitter (at https://twitter.com/DMVsoccer96?lang=en ). Not sure where it came from, but it shows that for D1 sports, more male student-athletes soccer players (13.7 percent) transfer to other schools during their 4 years than in any other sport. So much for
Not really surprising for a couple of reasons...#1 you can transfer in soccer and not have to sit our a year (has to be outside of conference I believe). So it is easier to transfer than for some other sports. #2 the lack of scholarships for the men. Some kids are receiving little to no money to play, so financially they may be able to improve their situation or at very least no lose money by transferring. That is likely reason for difference between Men & womens' #s.
UVa announced its recruiting class and it included several transfers: Propser Figbe, Jr. D - South Florida Cameron Harr, Jr. F - Marist Kennedy Nwabia, Jr. F - Dayton
Updated NIU roster includes 3 new transfers (including previously posted WVU transfer). Jan Maertins, F, So. (Marquette) Logan Hatter, MF, So. (Liberty) Konrad Dziedzic, GK, So. (West Virginia)
What is interesting is the huge difference between baseball and soccer. Baseball also has similarly low scholarships for players and a there are also a lot of kids with dreams of playing professionally like soccer. My guess is the large subjectivity in evaluation of soccer players is driving the difference. Baseball is largely an individual sport where your success is largely independent of that of your team. The game is largely an individual battle between hitter and pitcher that has very clear and easily measured outcomes. Soccer is the complete opposite. There is a high level of objectiveness in evaluating a players performance and that players performance is highly dependent on teammates, opponents, strategy and even conditions. Visibility is a another factor as scouting in baseball is very sophisticated while the scouting for professional soccer in US to the extent it even exists is primitive.
