GK Austin Aviza: Syracuse --- UConn http://dailyorange.com/2017/01/syra...stin-aviza-announces-transfer-to-connecticut/
Makes sense. He was buried behind a classmate and he used his redshirt year in 2016 so might as well go where he can play and do so close to home and for a program that's produced a good GK or two.
Fairleigh Dickinson adds D2 All-American Fredlin "Fredinho" Mompremier from Tampa. http://fduknights.com/news/2017/1/16/mens-soccer-adds-fredlin-mompremier.aspx
Counting his two JuCos (Yavapai and Pima), this will be his 4th college. That's got to be damn close to a record for a college soccer player.
To recap: Cannon, Hernandez, Yueill Danladi, Adekoya all underclassman that left early. Amick and Vobeda to graduation. Iloski to Serbia to attempt a pro career and now Romero transferring. Just wow!
There was a goalkeeper for OKC Energy last year named Ray Clark who attended the following schools: University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (NAIA) Midwestern State (D2) Oklahoma City Community College Northern Oklahoma (NJCAA) Tulsa Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Grant Owens: Saint Louis -- Marquette Brody Kraussel: Loyola-Chicago -- Marquette http://www.gomarquette.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/012017aaa.html
Vinnie Durand (goalkeeper) transferred from James Madison to NC State as of this month. http://gopack.com/roster.aspx?path=msoc
This is a very interesting transfer. Alex Knox is a very good right back that got significant playing time as a freshman. With Hunter Bandy graduating, he likely would've been the starting right back. This along with the transfer of Kris Reaves begs the question, is the issue with Muuss?
Something is going on at WF. I don't know if it's the coaching staff, per se, but I don't recall as much high-end talent leaving Wake when JV was in charge.
Two notable #d1msoc transfers for the fall: Prosper Figbe to Virginia, Sven Koenig to Creighton.— Travis Clark (@travismclark) May 5, 2017
Not quite a transfer, but it looks like Collin Jouan, who de-committed from Penn State and went to Chile last year, is going to Loyola Maryland Excited to be continuing my athletic and academic career at @LoyolaMSOC this fall #greyhounds ⚽️— Collin Jouan (@collinjouan) July 6, 2017
Add another one to the UCLA exodus. Chase Gaspar was announced by Maryland as being part of the incoming class
Ha! He was originally a verbal to UVA. He changed his commitment to UCSB. He then accepted an offer from UCLA and actually played there. Now he's headed to Maryland. I still think Chase Gasper is a great ironic soccer name
He'd be a national champion if he'd gone to UVa! Before the final in 14 he said he chose UCLA to "win a national championship" and then the Bruins lost to the Cavs in PKs in the title game and much UVa ish was talked. Ironically, he is very close with former UVa midfielder Jake Rozhansky, who transferred to Maryland last year and will now be his teammate. That likely isn't a coincidence.
