The Jeddah derby (Ittihad v Ahli) is the oldest rivalry, going back to the 1930s. You also have the Riyadh derby (Hilal v Nassr).
There's also the "classico", which is Hilal v Ittihad. This is probably the biggest rivalry, due to them being the most successful clubs, and also due in no small part to the regional rivalry between the Hijaz and Najd.

I will let you pass. :) Try hard to be in ACL next year then we talk!:x3::whistling: In contrary I like Sepahan and Foolad to comeback strong. I used to cheer for Sepahan, too, but the club owners were total douche! Your progenitors, Yellow Turbans are famous in Chinese history!
In contrary, I am talking about current form of Persepolis while you are spot on for SS fans they always talk about a title they won 50 years ago playing against 3 teams from India and Asean region. Sepahan has passed it prime as well. There was a time that they had strong financial back ups, good Croat coaches and promising academies. Now, their financial supporters are less interested in football and one of their former financial backers switched to Tractor Sazi as a result they are on a rough path.

Jeddah opened a new stadium in recent years I remember, maybe that's the reason their attendance figures are higher than otner cities, Riyad clubs should draw better attendance too.

how's the privitization going in Saudi Arabia? I heard that the Government had open club doors to private owners

The new stadium definitely helped. Went from 18k capacity to 60k. But Ittihad and Ahli have always been near the top of attendance figures even before. Sure, you've got a couple of small town teams in there who don't have the stadium or population to sustain, but most are from big cities (Riyadh, Dammam, Hofuf, Mecca, Buraida). The big 2 in Riyadh in particular should do better, the KFS is still the biggest stadium in the country. Nassr has been champion twice in the last 3 years and haven't broken 10k

I am talking about this title of yours from almost 47 years ago.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1970_Asian_Champion_Club_Tournament
the other title is from 15-16 years ago and you played these teams
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990–91_Asian_Club_Championship
while Persepolis continental title came from this competition and we played with stronger teams
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990–91_Asian_Cup_Winners'_Cup

Just remember that SS has been defeated by Persepolis several times with large margin despite SS being the establishment favorite team (except early years of IR). Remember 6-0, 4-1, 3-0, 3-2 (3 goals in 10 minutes with only 10 players while you were 2-0 ahead), 4-2 (the last year). You guys couldn't win in last 10 matches which is a record.

I don't go to more detail because it will be embarrassing for you and it doesn't look good for Iranian fan in general. We can continue this in Iranian board in either SS thread or Persepolis thread.

    LOOOOL!

Is there any relation with their penalty in league (-9 points for bribery what cost them title)?

What would happen with their CL berth if that (expulsion) goes through? Would it be transferred to Jeju? If yes, would Jeju's berth be awarded to other Korean club or no teams would enter instead of them - meaning winner of Kitchee - Ha Noi would qualify to Group stage? :D

Kitchee vs Hanoi T&T moved to 25 January after joint request from both clubs.

Kitchee thus can continue to host the Lunar New Year Cup in Hong Kong on both 28 and 31 January.

The continent's most prestigious club competition – the AFC Champions League – will kick off on Tueday with Global FC from the Philippines taking on Singapore’s Tampines Rovers in the Preliminary Stage 1 qualifiers at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila, at 7.30pm local time.
The second round of the Preliminary Stage qualifiers commences on Wednesday, January 25, with Hong Kong’s Kitchee playing host to Vietnam’s Hanoi FC (formerly Hanoi T&T) at the Hong Kong Stadium.

The 2016 edition of the AFC Champions League saw 45 teams from 17 Member Associations compete for the biggest prize purse in Asian club competition history after the AFC doubled the champions’ prize money, from US$1.5 million to US$3 million, making it one of the richest continental club competitions in the world.

AFC General Secretary, Dato’ Windsor John, said that the recent improvements have reinforced the AFC Champions League’s position as one of the world’s leading club competitions.

“Each year the AFC Champions League grows in stature and quality and today we have a club competition few in the world can match. Asia is home to some undeniable talent and the AFC Champions League provides a world-class platform, as envisaged in the AFC’s Vision and Mission and under our banner of One Asia, One Goal, for our stars to shine.

“I am confident that the 2017 edition of the AFC Champions League will continue to enthuse and excite our passionate fans, not only in Asia but around the globe, as it draws more world-class talent.”

The Preliminary Stage 2 matches will continue on January 31 when another nine teams from the East and West Zones – including Australia’s Brisbane Roar, 2016 AFC Cup finalists JSW Bengaluru FC and 2015 AFC Cup winners Johor Darul Ta’zim - battle alongside the winners of the Preliminary Stage 1 tie between Global and Tampines.

The winners of the six Preliminary Stage 2 matches will then progress to the final hurdle in the Play-offs, before the eagerly anticipated group stage of Asia’s premier club competition, kicking off on February 20.

Global FC is obviously a massive underdog against Australians teams like Brisbane Roar, but fortunately they have had prior experience with another A League club last year, when Perth Glory visited the Philippines last year and played a friendly with them managing only a draw(0-0) against the local side. Perth at that time was playing its first preseason match of the season, so they were quite rusty, but nevertheless it provided a good experience for the Philippine side so that they would have an idea of what to expect in the next match.

Don`t make illusions for Global against Brisbane, how must don`t think that Brisbane will beat Shanghai. This is the damn for australian in ACL, because every year they are condamned to play against chinese in play offs.
