I think we will if we bring the best players. This championship though we probably won't because there's not much at stake and a lot of our u23 players weren't called up because they should just concentrate on their club career. I'm only interested in Cho Youngwook for this tournament.
The thing is, other teams don't care about the asian games and most teams bring their B/C u23 team or their u21 team. With Son Heungmin, Suk Hyunjun, Kwon Changhoon, Hwang Heechan, Lee Seungwoo, Paik Seungho, that Austrian guy, Han Chanhee, Kim Minjae, we should win.
By just looking at the quality of the players we have, sure. But not with a manager who doesnt know how to use the players. Dont forget Son was invisible under SHITILIKE for 3 yrs even against shitty teams.
Again, this squad isn't our best because K-league teams didn't release their good u23 players. The only good K-league players are Hwang Hyunsoo, Jang Yunho, and maybe Yoon Seungwon. This tournament isn't that important, it's better for our players to focus on their pre-season with their club. Also, Son Heungmin was invisible against shitty teams, but he's going to face even shittier teams like Indonesia U23 teams or China u21 teams.
You realize we were fighting against Vietnam, right? Even though we didnt have players like HHC, our U23 squad was still good enough to beat teams like Vietnam without a hustle. Performance was so fking terrible that it seemed like the manager did not have any tactics whatsoever.
