I don't think we're signing anymore players. The deadline in Portugal finishes in 25 minutes. The only deal left is Adrien.
From BBC: An update from the people at Leicester - they are still waiting for news of the Danny Drinkwater/Adrien Silva deal. They have 10 minutes
Well still nothing and the 2 hour extension has passed... First picture of Adrien Silva at #lcfc training ground. He has now left...but we wait to hear whether his and #cfc Drinkwater deal completed pic.twitter.com/ZlhMV3qzYz— Rob Dorsett (@RobDorsettSky) September 1, 2017
Meanwhile Sporting has included Bryan Ruiz, Wallyson and Douglas in the squad list for the Liga. EDIT: Leicester confirm they have sold Drinkwater to Chelsea, paving the way for Adrien... #lcfc has agreed a deal for the transfer of midfielder Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea for a Club-record fee: https://t.co/huMLFFUpXS pic.twitter.com/AThMgDYlMR— Leicester City (@LCFC) September 1, 2017
From Sky Sports: LEICESTER CONFIDENT ON SILVA Leicester are confident they have completed the signing of Adrien Silva from Sporting Lisbon before the deadline, for a fee Sky Sourcesunderstand to be worth £22m. Leicester officials are awaiting formal confirmation from the FA and Premier League that the deal was processed correctly. Soooo this one might only get officially announced tomorrow
probably a good idea! All the british news sites have closed for the night so if this is going through it will be announced tomorrow morning
The rumour is 22M pounds, which would be 24M euros. At least its better than the 15M that that Sky was saying earlier in the day But Abola says the deal is 30M euros and pending with FIFA now to see if they approve of the deal so late: http://www.abola.pt/Nnh/Noticias/Ver/690124 Honestly, this one will just have to wait until the official announcement.
The cover pages of A Bola, Record, and O Jogo. A Bola says Adrien for 30M, Record for 29M (could be 24 + 5M bonus objetives)..
Still nothing official, but the valuations being speculated have gone up to more acceptable levels. I've seen up to 29M
So there's definitely agreement between the clubs and player, it's just waiting on approval from FIFA. Latest valuation I've heard is €24.5M + €5M in objectives. So potentially almost €30M
Sporting have confirmed the deal to transfer Adrien to Leicester to the CMVM (the Portuguese Securities Market Commission; they supervise any financial activity among public companies such as SCP). There is no mention of a fee however and the message states that it is "awaiting confirmation from FIFA". http://web3.cmvm.pt/sdi/emitentes/docs/FR65649.pdf From Sky this morning: DEAL OR NO DEAL? Leicester City are still waiting to hear from the FA and Premier League whether their attempts to sign Adrien Silva have been successful. We understand club officials are confident the paperwork was completed in time, and that all the necessary documentation was provided. But the FA was unable to confirm in the early hours of this morning that everything was in order. They are still assessing it.
Considering Adrien is 28, I think it's a good sale. It was now or never really to get that kind of money.
This is crazy...still no official word.... Hope they crossed all the Ts and dotted the Eyes Im not giving my final thoughts till its official .... haha
Yes it's the player we were expecting to sell. Honestly not that worried, we made all those signings early in anticipation of losing Adrien. Bruno Fernandes has different qualities than Adrien but is the replacement.
Understandable. Funny enough the last time this happened with Yannick Djalo FIFA rejected it and he became neither an SCP or a Nice player (and we ended up going to court with Nice to get our 4M transfer fee since they agreed to it). Hopefully that doesn't happen now and we just get our money.
Might be sitting on this over the weekend :/ Given that it's Friday and no news yet we might not here until Monday
