9 Aug LS - Lugano Can LS get a point? FCSG - Luzern YB - Thun How bad will this one be? 10 Aug Basel - GCZ FCZ - Sion Both matches should be wins for the home team.
It would do so much for our league to have matches televised here in North America! This is awesome if true.
9 Aug LS - Lugano 2-3 Two goals in the lat 10 min, one by LS to tie, and the other by Lugano for the win. FCSG - Luzern 0-2 YB - Thun 0-4 If YB do not win the league, these 3 points will loom large. What a mess ...
Was awesome watching the GCZ v Basel match today in my living room and Live on TV! Not much from GCZ at all in that first half but better effort in half 2!

19 Aug FCZ - YB This is an unexpected match at the top. Will YB overcome the end of Tuesday's match? Thun - LS - Battle to avoid relegation. 20 Aug Basel - Lugano GCZ - FCSG Sion - Luzern Will Sion get a win at home?
19 Aug FCZ - YB 0-0 Interesting result that helped both teams. Guillaume Hoarau was injured and will miss the Champions League Play-off match in Moscow. Thun - LS 5-2 The score was 2-2 at the half. I wonder if LS is considering a manager change, or at least a formation change. The team does not have the personnel for a 3-5-2. 20 Aug Basel - Lugano 1-1 GCZ - FCSG 2-0 Sion - Luzern 1-1 First home match for Sion. Carlos Bernegger fired by GCZ and replaced by former GCZ player and current Schaffhausen manager Murat Yakin. This is an incredibly curious move since GCZ won their first game this past Sunday.
26 Aug LS - GCZ 1-1 Lugano - Thun 4-1 27 Aug Luzern - FCZ 1-1 Sion - Basel 1-1 FCSG - YB 2-2 Draws all around, with a 90' goal by YB to get the draw. Lugano with a n impressive win over Thun. 9 Sep Basel - LS FCZ - FCSG 10 Sep GCZ - Sion Luzern - Thun YB - Lugano Home teams should win every match this weekend. The GCZ - Sion is the one with the most in question.
9 Sep Basel - LS 1-2 ????? Odd match with two red cards in it. If anyone was banking on a Basel run in the CL, this confirmed that they are no way near previous teams. FCZ - FCSG 1-1 10 Sep GCZ - Sion 3-2 Luzern - Thun 2-2 YB - Lugano 3-0 YB 14 FCZ 13 Basel 11 Luzern 10 FCSG 9 Lugano 8 Sion 8 GCZ 8 Thun 7 LS 5 If the season ended now, Basel would end up in the Europa League! Now of all the teams, they have the most resources to purchase players during the break.

20 Sep LS - FCZ 1-1 FCSG - Basel 2-1 YB - Luzern 4-1 Good day all around for YB. With FCZ only getting a point at LS, and Basel losing again, they are now sitting in a good spot. 3 points up on FCZ, 5 of FCSG and 6 on Basel! I wish I could understand German better to read what people are saying about the team. I do know that Wickey's job appears to be on the line. 21 Sep Lugano - Sion Thun - GCZ
21 Sep Lugano - Sion 1-2 Thun - GCZ 2-2 YB 17 FCZ 14 FCSG 12 Basel 11 Sion 11 Luzern 10 GCZ 9 Thun 8 Lugano 8 LS 6
23 Sep Basel - FCZ 1-0 Basel halts the bleeding for a period of time. Luzern - LS 2-3 LS moves out of the relegation zone. 24 Sep Lugano - GCZ 0-3 The Yakin magic already working. I wonder how long it will be before Basel fans want him there. Sion - YB 0-1 YB is now 5 points clear. FCSG - Thun 3-0 St Gallen now in 2nd place. YB 20 FCSG 15 FCZ 14 Basel 14 GCZ 12 Sion 11 Luzern 10 LS 9 Thun 8 Lugano 8

Yes. One of the reasons is when it is cold in Lausanne, it is freezing at La Pointaise. It is on top of a big hill, beautiful during the day, very windy at night. I have seen two games there, once vs Palermo in the Europa League, I think that there were only 7k there for that. I also saw a BCL match vs Biel a few years ago, I think that there were about 600 people in the stadium. The stadium is old, and lacks lots of newer/nicer things. There has been lots of talk about a stadium down by the lake where Stade Lausanne-Ouchy plays.
The club is currently for sale, and the purchase of the club also comes with the new stadium that they are in the process of building.
Ricky van Wolfswinkel is out for 6-8 weeks according to a report in The Netherlands. Things get tougher for FCB.
27 Sep Sion - LS 1-1 LS is playing well these past few weeks. 30 Sep GCZ - Basel 1 Oct FCZ - Lugano Thun - Luzern YB - FCSG YB rested 4 players on Wed for their Europa League match and only got an away draw in Albania. If they do not get all three points against FCSG their plan will have backfired twice.
