Man of the Match: Een zich vrijwel wekelijks herhalend verhaal is een sterk spelende Mimoun Mahi aan FC Groningen-zijde. Tegen FC Twente was het vanmiddag in de Euroborg weer niet anders. Hoewel zijn naam niet op het scorebord verscheen, ging er van de fysiek sterke buitenspeler wel weer een hoop dreiging uit. Welke club pikt hem in de winter op?

Made it into AD Sportwereld's "team of the week":

 

Just scored his team equaliser in an away league match against Venlo.

 

It seems like he's doing great. He's on the right track for the top stages of football in a few coming years if he'll keep up his head leveled. His stats so far (he's still 19) are superb and I'm 100% sure that he's already on the radars of the biggest clubs in the world. But he'll have to prove himself again and again in the two-three coming seasons to go there.

 

I think he is doing great. Little forgotten maybe. 5 goals. No midfielder in the club close to that.

 

FC Groningen is in a turmoil with conflicts inside the club affecting the team. Plus they're not scoring alot of goals (lowest of the league iirc), so his goals are important.
Next season he has to impress when he plays the big three clubs. Then they will notice he can face tough opposition and that might help him being considered for a transfer. That's important to be taken seriously by top league clubs.
