    Nothing to see here....

Meanwhile, in other roster-building "news" - it looks like someone has set up a Twitter handle to impersonate Friedel. They're doing a fine job pushing Revs fans buttons this past week....

So players and agents would have a problem with it becoming public that a guy re-signed with his existing club after the fact? It's not like anyone is dishing out details like the guy wanted too much money and we decided to play hardball because this was his best option...
To paraphrase the great philosopher Forrest Gump, "Imbeciles are what imbeciles do." Serious question: Have you ever had a Revolution-related conversation with Uday? Not even about "soccer" stuff like tactics, but even the bid-ness end of things, which should be in his wheelhouse. He either switches to the Patriots or says something so general and vague that it adds nothing to the conversation. Even his "on the record" radio comments on the Revs are about how there are a lot of youf players in the area and in 1994 they saw that the World Cup was a big deal--instead of talking about how to market to fans who were born in 1994

    Uday?

    JK, no.
That sounds more like elusive, than imbecilic.

Like he's either not that involved in details about the team, or is so worried about saying something he shouldn't that he just switches the topic.

One way or the other, I think it's fairly likely that he's a reasonably bright person, at the minimum. If there's evidence that he's not, switching the topic sure isn't it.

Elusive is when you ask him about stadium plans and he says there are "a number of possibilities in the works that, should they materialize, will be announced at the appropriate juncture in the fullness of time." That, my friend, is how you answer a question without actually saying things.

Imbecilic is when you ask him what he thinks the most important thing is in increasing visibility of the team, increasing the fanbase, and therefore, attendance (and revenue), and he starts talking about how they saw what a cash cow the 1994 World Cup was, so they decided to start a soccer team here.

He doesn't have to answer any questions from any fan, but he should at least be more engaging, at least seem the slightest bit interested in chatting with paying customers who keep your (secondary) business afloat. No one is asking for top-secret information that will blow up in their faces, but just a little bit of evidence he has at least a little bit of interest in "the product."

But I bet he could give you an earful if you asked about the Pats playoff chances. Not looking for an earful, but maybe 10 words.

I will be impressed by Friedel if he has the good sense to trade both of those draft picks.

I mostly agree. However, I wouldn't be upset if he turned two picks into one, and took a highly rated defender, preferably a RB.

I don't disagree, but I think you need to read the definition of imbecile, because that has nothing to do with it.

    A stupid person?

If the guy can't think his way out of a paper bag, can't think of even one on-topic, semi-intelligent thing to say when he's speaking publicly on behalf of his organization, he is an imbecile. If he isn't that dumb, but is just so indifferent that doesn't even bother to do a little bit of prep work on talking points with an intern, well, he's worse than an imbecile.

Will LAFC be this years Atlanta? Looking at the roster they are slowly putting together and it seems they may be pretty competitive from the get go, certainly look better on paper so far than Minnesota at this point last year. Vela, Pacheco, Blessing, Rossi and Urena look to be a good start on the attacking side. Zimmerman, Ciman, Harvey and Beitashour won't really wow you but they are all good MLS veteran defenders. Add Fielhaber and Gaber and that looks to be a pretty good spine down the middle of the field. Obviously they are not done building with them being linked to Portugues U21 Midfielder Andre Horta, Chilean U20 and possible DP Midfielder Pablo Aránguiz as well as Chicharito
