i was at that Game 5. the BC was absolutely nuts that day. it helped that the Wave beat the pants off of the Crunch.
prior to this season, when was the last time the Wave drew 5000+ in back to back games? they are drawing quite well. then again wining every game and by good margins tends to draw crowds.
Crowds in Florida and especially El Paso tonight look really good. This after good crowds over the holidays. League doing some good work with marketing strategies? Meanwhile CR is stagnant on and off the field this new year. Ugh. :-(
Florida looked pretty empty to me and Cedar Rapids and Turlock had their worst crowds I can remember. El Paso looked hopping though.

Shame more fans were not at the game, hard fought, fun game to watch! Big win for CR and if they continue to play like this, it will make things very interesting going in to the playoffs. Miss seeing GK Petricek for CR, but Hauss has been great since joining the Rampage. Also an Awesome Bicycle goal by Gurson during the game.

Downtown was so busy it kept me away. I had a bowling tournament in Sussex at 10:00 AM that finished at 12:45. My original plan was to fly downtown and hopefully not miss too much. As I walked out of the lanes through the bar, I saw the Marquette game on TV and thought of the 18,000 fans at the Bradley Center. Then I saw a text from my buddy about how packed it was at the convention center for the Brewers On Deck and it occurred to me that it was going to cost over $30 to park, or else be a 1-1/2 mile walk (over 20 minutes) for a game I would already be late to. So I went home and watched YouTube.
