Not a bad effort but the team looked completely exhausted at the end and the subs were simply not good enough. Ribeiro with an worse crosses I've seen. Meanwhile Bruno and Gelson were exhausted. Atletico looked ripe for the taking and how sweet it would have been for Griezman to be punished for 2 hilarious misses on one-on-ones against Patricio. He was so alone on the first one you couldn't find anyone else in the frame but then decided to be precious and tried to nutmeg Rui. Patricio is such a pro - not giving up a goal like that. Small consolation that Bruno, Patricio and Gelson are playing well - ahead of WC.
Can't complain. Good win against one of the best teams in the world. Would've left a pretty good mark on the world stage if it weren't for that little episode last game..
Yeah and just thinking back on the missed chances away. That montero miss in the first game would have made everything different. Hopefully we have this attitude in the rest of the games. If results go our way we can still get 2nd place and win a cup.
