We have a much more complete squad this year, particularly with a midfield that can hold up against top clubs. No more, relying on just wingers to create build up plays. A squad consisting of Gotze (provided he keeps building on what he showed the last 2 games), Reus, Weigl, Dahoud, Gurreiro and Demebele should be on par with any midfield out there, including Chelsea and Madrid.

Also, I am pretty sure we will be grouped with either Real or Liverpool, or likely both.

Well, so far we have problems with clubs like RW Essen and VFL Bochum
Forgot Pulisic and Kagawa? And, about Götze, have we seen same two games?

Preseason is meaningless. It's used to give youth a runout and get the seniors working their way up to peak fitness.

I think there's a real opportunity in the CL this year; there's a vacuum we could fill potentially. The bus attack last year completely transformed the Monaco tie IMO. This year we can show out better in Europe with Juve losing two key players, Bayern getting even older still, and Neymar potentially leaving Barça for PSG. If Bosz plays his cards right I think we can peak at exactly the right time when Weigl and Guerreiro come back.

Bayern getting older? Alonso and Lahm retired, and their replacements Kimmich/Tolisso are both very young.

I will reserve judgment until seen in action, but thus far I like it. A unique design with a nice blurred lines aesthetic.

our jerseys have a tendency to look a bit weird on average people but they designs usually do look well when on Auba Reus etc...
stripes and graphic designs = not good for beer drinking soccer fans

The blurred lines are meant to simulate what BVB's regular jerseys look like to beer drinking soccer fans.

Feeling bad for Julian N. Deserves better. Too bad SAP isn't selling more licenses so they can keep guys like Süle, Volland and Firmino around.

But it's better for us as we make more money.

So I'll take Spartak, Benfica, Shakhtar or Monaco from pot 1, avoid Liverpool, Spurs and Napoli from pot 3 and don't care who we get from pot 4.

I want to avoid being in another group of death. We got lucky last year.

Something like Real and Napoli or Juventus and Spurs would make life very difficult for us.

I think only Napoli could have been harder. Seeing such a group, I'm even more reluctant to see Dembele leave. Our FB situation could become a real problem against these teams as well.

If the order of the matches puts Madrid vs Spurs in matchday 3 and 4 double header. Hope Madrid wins both leg

This is BS. We've avoided the group of death just once in the CL this decade.

I'd prefer A or G, but would have gladly taken literally any other group.

A was impossible due to UEFA's "television rules"
