Someone snapped this picture of Corvino behind him on a plane.

We signed Bartlomiej Dragowski, the young Polish keeper through 2021. Hope he works out better than our last Polish keeper.

And we have gotten rid of our other young Pole, Rafal Wolski. He's off to Danzig.

Close to getting Ondrej Duda, a slovakian AM from Lech Warsaw, for 4M plus bonuses.

I'm glad to see he's saving valuable transfer euros by sacrificing leg room for coach. I haven't flown much recently, but that's a frickin' cattle car that thing.

Three transfers (in) today, thought I would give a rough summary of what I remember seeing so far this summer.

    IN:
Carlos Sanchez ( 500k loan fee with option to buy from Aston Villa)
Vedran Corluka ( loan with mandatory purchase for 3M from Lokomotiv Moscow)
Tello to Fiorentina (loan with option to buy)
    Hernan Toledo (loan)
    Ianis Hagi (2M)
    Kevin Diks (2.8M)
    Bartlomiej Dragowski (3.2M)

    OUT:
    Roncaglia to Celta Vigo (free)
    Pasqual to Empoli (free)
    Wolski to Poland (500k)
    Capezzi to Crotone (800k)
    Basanta to Mexico (1M)
    Bakic to Braga (1.4M)
    Rebic to Frankfurt (loan)

    RUMORS:
Rossi (to lots of places) for 5M
Gomez back to Bestikas, Borussia Dortmund, or Barcelona for 3.5M
    Badelj to Milan for 10-15M
    Kalinic to Napoli for 25-30M
    Valero to Roma
    Caceres to Fiorentina (free)

I would take that Kalinic deal all day.

I love that Tello is staying.
I would hate it if Badelj left. That would be the season, imho.
I love Valero but I thought he really fell off markedly last season.

he's a very solid defensive mid, normally he's the one who shuts down Messi when it's Argentina v Colombia. He's physical, but I noticed he works best in a 4 man midfield, instead of the 3-man, where he can share duties with another defensive midfielder. Also, he has trouble with consistency, especially at club level. When he's on, though, he's an excellent ball winner and play disruptor in the middle of the field.

A friend of mine, huge Colombian soccer fan, on Carlos Sanchez.

Talented? The guy is a complete joke and garbage, and he somewhat sums up the entire transfer period of Fiorentina, both of last winter and this summer.

And where did you read it if I may ask? You can't call a 27-year old guy a "talent", by that age you can either play or not. Kids of age 16 to 20-21-22 are called talents.

As for Milic, I have friends from Croatia who watched him regularly there and they couldn't believe that Fiorentina bought him. He doesn't have a good cross, he's bad at defending and he made a lot of mistakes in important games which then led to Hajduk conceding goals. They hardly waited for him to leave the club.

Judging by all the signings we made this off season, this will be a painful season to watch as a Fiorentina supporter. Almost every club in Serie A did a better job in the transfer market than us.

Right there in that link that you quoted...

    perfetto per un 3-5-2 o un 4-3-3

Huh? How many other Serie A sides have lost absolutely no one of consequence?

I went into this summer expecting us to lose maybe both of Vecino and Badelj, the real strength of our squad. And we've lost no one. Go down the transfer campaigns of the other Serie A squads and most of them have lost their best player; Higuain, Pogba, Pjanic, yadda yadda.

As I've mentioned quite a bit on here, at this stage of my life I only really watch Serie A anymore, but as it stands right now I'm pretty delighted that we've kept everyone. At least up until this point.

Napoli lost Higuain but took big money, Zielinski and one of the brightest young strikers in Europe, Milik.

Juve lost Pogba but got over 100 million plus Higuain, Dani Alves, Pjanic, Benatia and wonderkid Pjaca.

Roma lost Pjanic but got Vermaelen, Peres plus they bought the contracts of El Shaarawy, Salah and Rudiger. And there is a strong rumour that if they manage to beat Porto and go to Champions League, they will be buying Borja Valero who is not happy with certain things at Fiorentina.

This squad Fiorentina has at the moment is really average, and we only got Tello and Sanchez who are not significant reinforcements. Toledo, Diks, Hagi and Dragowski are not big signings, they are just talented kids who will maybe become good players one day.

Not to mention that with Inter, Milan, Torino and even Sassuolo strenghtening their teams, it will be a real prize to qualify for Europa League this year. Champions league will remain a dream

That's just Fiorentina. We don't have PSG transfer windows. We have Fiorentina transfer windows.

If, in the end, we have held onto Badelj, Vecino and Bernardeschi I'll chalk it up as a success.

    That's true, unfortunately.

On the other hand, would be nice to see that we are making a progress as a club and not stagnating. And with that in mind I would point out to Atletico Madrid who did an amazing job in the past few years.

I think the league has left the Della Valles too jaded and I don't see much changing, tbh.

Too bad for Gomez and his episode in Fiorentina. He was highly anticipated signing and since Batistuta there was no other player about whom Florence was so buzzing about.

But the injuries had different plans for him, that trio Rossi-Gomez-Cuadrado managed to play just a few games together...

. Its about to be lit fam!
This is only the second ever Mexican in serie a, after marquez. Technically Basanta had Mexican nationality after being there for years.

Well if he's decent he'll get plenty of opportunities. Especially if he can play as a RCB in a 3-man backline. I think most of us feel like the other two positions are pretty well covered for a club of our size.
