Yeah but then to reinforce your point you said that it disgusts you to see black players on northern European NTs. How many of those black players were imported for sporting competitions?

Doesn't look like KNT had a good chance for a bronze anyway, because they would have had to beat either Brazil, or probably a lethal Nigeria.

Let me rephrase that. To clarify, what I mean by disgust is the deteriation of the meaning of the Olympic games. My point had absolutely nothing to do with being racist. I'll correct the wording.

    * I have dear friends from Kenya and South Africa, who I play futbol with so...just to be clear lol...none of that racist rubbish here...non existent.

I'm sorry it's too difficult for you to understand. If it's too advanced, I can surely break it down for you. Perhaps then you'd be able to comprehend at least some of it.

    SMH...it's not that hard.

It is a very bad idea to have exemption for medals in Olympic football.

Compared to sports such as athletics, swimming, etc. most football players do not have be even close to world class in order to win a medal.

It would be far better to only give exemptions to athletes who are capable of performing against world class competition in an important tournament in which the best players play. Reaching a World Cup quarterfinal while failing to earn third place is far more significant than earning a bronze medal in the Olympics.

But of course, the problem that this would pose for World Cup teams is that some of the best older players might be left off the team in the interests of giving younger players, who may not be as deserving, an opportunity to earn an exemption.

I think having the exemption tied to earning an Olympic medal has impacted badly on selection this time around. Instead of picking players that would contribute to the synergy and balance of the team, players seem to have been selected for their individual merit apart from what would produce the best team results. In the case of Korea, they have always been stacked with winger talent, and midfield talent to a lesser degree, while lacking in most other positions.

I agree. This would have made all the difference. We broke down mentally after that goal. The desperation got to the best of our players = break down and Honduras saw it and capitalized....

Feels bad man. Had to play under a retarded manager and looked up to a choke artist for goal scoring.

    2. Bundesliga if he's lucky and willing to take a pay-cut.

EDIT: scratch that. If he can't break into the KNT, well .

It would have been a fun match to watch nonetheless. Our team has that bug of performing to the level of the opponent, which cost us the game yesterday.

    Looking at the positives:

    * Korea is the only Asian country to have made it to the Quarter finals.

    * Korea scored 3 times against Germany and we would have, given that luck was with us, would have beaten Germany.

    * Korea beat the defending Champs, Mexico. Luck or not...1-0.

    * Korea demolished Fiji, 8-0...and rare instance where we played above the level of our opponent. We needed this for Honduras.

Can someone explain to me why criticising your own players is seen as a vile thing done uniquely by Korean fans? Honestly, all team get sh*t reception when they lose to an inferior opposition, especially when everything is riding on the match.

Are we just supposed to cheer aimlessly whatever happens like our northern neighbors?

    It's not a vile thing.
It's just that these players need to grow some balls and stop acting like total pussies.

I blame Son for inspiring the rest to slowly become pussified by his antics.

Acting like a thug or a puss has no relevance on whether you win or lose games in football, you dumbfcks.

Maybe Shim should grow some balls and he will become a better defender? LOL
