Great result. This will put pressure on Mexico and Germany to rack up the score as well, and it's never easy to put 8 past a side. Hopefully this will give our team a boost of confidence because God knows they'll need every little advantage possible against Germany.

The real reason and cause for Ryu Seung-woo's 정신력, 집중력, and overall performance yesterday - magic:

It's all in the hands, SLAP!

couldnt we have gotten someone better than jang hyun soo?

germany is going to be tough but with Son and Suk, there is still a small chance. To me, biggest factor will be Kwon CH. He needs to be A++ for us to have a chance.

I think everyone is giving germany way too much respect here. This is their U-23 side and they didn't look that amazing to me. Sure, they're better than korea but, i dont think by that much difference. I predict a draw or a narrow germany win

Good for Korea though. I guess Mexico is not as good as in 2012.

That's a fair assessment, but this team was thrown together with roughly a week to practice and no pre-tournament friendlies that I recall. I think we'll grow into the tournament as it progresses.

They got stronger over the course of the match... hopefully that was peak at end rather than meeting us at some level higher...

Btw did you know that Lee Young-Pyo said this during the game: "I think we will score the first goal around the 32th minute."
    Korea scored on 31:13.
