His best position is a side-back/wing-back, just like Nagatomo, but he also played as a CB earlier in his career.
Oh yeah, forgot about that. I guess if he is making less than the non-EU minimum for Eredivisie players?

Unfortunately the driving force behind the good football of Vitesse (considered the most Dutch style playing team of the Eredivisie) Peter Bosz decided to coach a team in Israel.
Vitesse won 2-0. According to WhoScored Ota launched 8 crosses and had 2 key passes - it sounds as though he's getting a chance to show his strengths.

Ota just assisted on the second goal today vs Heerenveen. Nice run along the flank on the counterattack, and found his teammate in the middle.
Vitesse has published what I guess is a fans' lineup support, and Ota seems to be appreciated by a large majority. De opstelling van #Vitesse-supporters voor #vitfey, ingevuld op #Vitesse.nl. Powered by @dewitschijndel. pic.twitter.com/KVt7dHhPZy— Vitesse (@MijnVitesse) March 13, 2016
Ota looks set to leave as he has not followed the team. Not sure why as he was starting lately. Maybe just wants to come back home.
"Four years and a half contract" it's their lives but the lack of guts. And now he's coming back to block Yanagi, Ogawa or Muroya.
