    his name is abdelkarim hassan.
hassan is a captain of the team, who plays on defense and he is their team's foundation in the back. scored four goal so far, tied for first place along with his teammate most goals scored in the tourney. but his teammate who scored four goals is singled out by coach shin as the tourney's best player. his name is akram afif.

It's refreshing to finally have a Qatari born football team, and good at winning to boost!

I personally think Abdulkarem Hasan is overrated and was lucky this tournament, if there is a player to look for in our team it's the midfielder Ali Asad And the winger Afif.

If Korean players were paying attention they should try to get our defender Ahmad Yaser out with a red card, he is too aggressive and has been fishing for it since day 1 of the tournament.

How many European based players are Korea missing?

This is the only player that we should be worried about esp. with the defense we have been playing this whole tournament.

Please tell me this isn't some sock account.

The average Qatari fan would not have known the acronym "HHC" so quickly.

    Definitely a sock for sure....

Anyway, Hwang Hee-chan is fine and it seems like it was a slight ankle sprain. MRI found no problems and said he's good to go, although he's currently with the physio and medical staff as he's undergoing recovery. They said that Shin Tae-yong and the coaching staff will decide on whether he will train and start against Qatar depending on his condition tomorrow morning.

Well that was not nice, kind of derogatory actually.

Here is the news about him using walking assistance canes:

Why wouldn't I know about HHC if he's playing well in a tournament in my country and is playing my national team in the next match? He is also praised in the local media as the best player of the Korean team.

I've identified the acronym because it was used a lot in this forum.

And here is an appropriate sentence in Qatari slang lol:
    الكوريين شايفين نفسهم؟

We will be wearing our away white uniform for the first time this tournament, which is good because I was sick of seeing our red home uniform.

why would he be so certain hwang heechan will be available when he missed the previous practice? apparently he wasn't seen in today's practice as well. this probably means shin taeyong is bluffing and hwang is likely out of the match if not the entire tournament.

i was very worried for the qatar match because not only have they been playing well but they've been playing under extreme confidence. i figured the form would continue but listening to their coach speak i can sense that they are now feeling the heat from increased expectations (and perhaps also from playing a traditional powerhouse in the region). i think the qatari players will start out nervous tomorrow and the pressure may get to them psychologically if they don't shake it off early. korean players should look for players who are off their game and make it hell for them.

Coach shin has 30 plus yrs of experience both as a player and coach to know the kind of injury heechan sustained and doubled checked with the medical staff and heechan himself. No point for any kind of smoke screen as of this point. If anything, Jordan showed the remaining teams how to beat us in that second half. There's nothing to hide. But when coach shin said heechan's available, he may also means heechan is available at different capacity. Like instead of starting the game, he'll enter in the second half. We'll find out tomorrow.

Qatar has been fantastic. They just might be the best team of the tourney. It's been known that their team is their golden generation which will carry the 2022 World Cup. Considering the alternative, I feel it is better to face Qatar and not norks. I always get the impression that we bring the best out of the norks whenever we play in a Korea derby match. I consider Qatar the favorite tomorrow because they played so well up to this point and we have been lousy on our last game. Doesn't mean we can't beat them. It will be nervous one tomorrow

Edit: question surrounding heechan or Kim hyun is one thing. The most important question is our number one goal keeper Kim dong Jun ready tomorrow. His replacement, gu sung yun was a nightmare to watch against Jordan.

    Kim Dong-jun is fine -

    • Says he is not 100% fit but 120%
    • Says Gu Sung-yoon was nervous but he did not concede
    • Says he is not the type that would get nervous. He is a calm and not get worked up type.
    • He also talks strong to the defenders. Sometimes be critical to them but sometimes give them confidence which was need in Jordan second half. He would have told the defense line to go up higher in the Jordan match.
    • Says Qatar's attack is good, but not good as (Hwang) Hee-chan.
    • Says he is a different style to coach Lee Woon-jae. Lee Woon-jae, during his playing days, used to get worked up in emotions at times which he does not want to adopt (and then he smiled).
