I personally would like to see our players keep the momentum and go to Iraq game to win the game rather than settle with draw even though result would still be good enough to finish first in group.

As for our quarterfinal match, If we finish group winner, we'll get runner up of group d which is up in the air. Assuming uae beat their remaining game against Vietnam with goal margin of one more, then it's likely that UAE will finish the group d as winner. And that leaves match between Jordan and hoju. Jordan is ahead of hoju in goal difference. So it's Hojo's game to win. otherwise, it's Jordan.

I say go to Iraq game with the best players because quality of Iraqi team is a perfect lead up to quarterfinal. Iraq was rated highly going into the tourney(better than us according to couple of experts). Neither Jordan or hoju are better than Iraq. Plus our team gets an extra day of rest compare to teams in group d.

Going further down to potential semifinal opponent if we finish first in our group will all likely host nation Qatar. Or Japan if we finish runner up.

Shin Tae-yong has said the players that will play the Iraq match will be mostly bench players who have not played.

He has said that the backups are also good and in good shape.

I think we should manage to beat any team in the QF. However, in the semi we'll either face Qatar or Japan depending on where we finish...
I think Japan has a better team but Qatar has the home field advantage.

Just got news that Norks are runner up of group b and will face Qatar in quarter which sets up a potential Korea derby in the semi. Should be exciting week from today. Iraq today, quarter on Saturday and semi next Tuesday.

Kim Hyun is going to be a great super-sub card for us if he continues this good form. He needed that little bit of confidence.

Good call on resting most of the starters as the most important game of the tourney is going to be that quarter-final game. Win that one and we get at least two shots at winning the ticket to Rio. Not really concerned how this game turns out as we're not really in a position to pick and choose our opponent in the next game so whatever will be will be. Good to see that Kim Hyun scored to get his confidence up at least. Iraq seems to be taking it easy in this game too so hopefully we can come out of it without any injuries and be fresh for our QF matchup.

Good form as in this one match? Besides, I wouldn't take much from the game given that Iraq has rested most of their starters as well.

Your number 17 just lost a pure goal! what is wrong? you lose more 100% goal opportunities than you score! You play very well up to your opponents goal, and your finishing touch is not there! Same problem you have in your national team.
