Is Evra a real threat for him? In Juventus he's considered a useless old geezer.

I have never seen Evra play on the right, nor Hiroki on the left.

If anything having an immensely experienced vet like Evra on the other side is a great opportunity to learn. Plus he speaks English.

Apparently Thauvin was very friendly to Hiroki upon the latter's arrival, sending him helpful texts in English and giving him advice on life in Marseille.

Mccourt wants to invest 200 mill euro and Evra is only the beginning. We just have to wait and see what happens.

Evra is not a component of the project, he's here because we didn't have any left back.

Hiroki weighs in on Marseille's splashy new signings:
"Last match was the first time I played with Payet. He's really good at moving off the ball to shake his marker, and he has incredible technique. You feel comfortable playing a one-two off of him because you know the ball is coming back."
"Evra is a great vet. He makes an effort to call out to me during practice, and occasionally walks over to translate the coach's instructions to me."
"Sanson is really serious when it comes to football. The coach prefers players who don't easily get dispossessed, and Sanson is a guy who can settle the ball down in midfield. He plays simply and doesn't unnecessarily dribble the ball, which helps the tempo and makes it easier for us to make runs on the flank."

90 minutes as usual when Marseille beat Guingnamp 2-0. Payet scored.

6 th place. 4 points away from Lyon and the 4 th place.

Marseille secured a Europa League spot by finishing fifth. Sakai got the most playing time of any outfield Marseille player.

Subbed out in the 38 th minute last night. Don't know if it was an injury or tactical, they were already down 0-2 at the time.

Marseille is aiming high but they have long long way to go, yesterdays game shows that.
